I heard a statistic today that the average american under... I forgot but it was less than 40 spends 3 hours a day on the phone.

I have seen it, I hired a younger dude as a machinist and he would be watching movies every spare second. Mounted it on the side of his machine with a magnet. Couldn't pay him enough to do 2 things at a time for the shop.

Glad you're ok. Truck can be fixed. Dont go to fluerys in ballard.

For $3,600 seems like you could buy a bed and spray it to match for less.

Ranger stepie are pretty popular  in the greater seattle area. I've seen a lot around town while working. Most in good shape too

OH DANG we have some ballard-ites on here? Born and raised there, before it was hip. I'm still struggling to find a good shop- if y'all have any recommendations lemme know.

What kind of work are you looking to have done. I. In edmonds. I have a mechanic in mountlake terrace that is a ranger guy. I have him do most of my simple repairs, brakes, oil changes, and minor stuff. I go to Harris ford for stuff that requires a factory mechanic. If you are looking for a paint shop I can tell you who not to got to and I have a place I've been referred to but havent looked up yet. I just used benchmark auto salon in lynnwood for a hand wax because I had the truck painted last summer and needed to seal it now that its had time to cure. I am VERY picky so my referals are vetted by me.

My truck was painted a fresh coat of vista blue bumper to bumper last summer. Afterwards I had to put all my money towards the house because my carpenter friend is moving to eastern washington. Now that that is done I had to get a sealant on my new paint. I gave it a bath before it went to the auto salon.

This is the after shot. I tried to get a picture at the same light and location to show any difference but It rained all week and on the day the sun came back i had to work. My truck was already really shiny so you all probably wont be able to see any difference.

Here's what they did at the auto salon.

Washed and dried the entire exterior including wheels. Then they used nanoskin auto scrub system to remove bonded contaminants. It's a modern version of a clay bar. Then Menzerna polymer sealant is hand applied. Then they cleaned the windows inside and out, dressed the wheels n tires, and cleaned and polished the exhaust tip.

I started to use TC black fusion on my black moldings and plastics on the exterior but got rained out after I barely got finished with the front bumper. I'll take a before and after of my rear window to show you guys how awesome this stuff is once I can get time and it's not raining. I  did a test patch on the front bumper after I got it back from the paint shop last summer and it stayed black and shiny even after a lot of car washes

I am quite pleased with their services. I have a few other things I'd like to see if they do also.

Who did you use for the paint? I searched and searched when I was getting my ranger done. No one wanted to paint the whole truck. I ended up using fluerys but I'll never go there again. Mike the owner lied and lied to my face over and over. It took 3 months. He said it would take 2 weeks. At the end of 2 weeks I called up and he said " we have 2 weeks right?". He also walked me over 2 one of the cars he was working on and said feel how smooth that is? That's how your truck is going to be. He told me it would be done and I could pick it up saturday and no one was there. He did that twice. The lot boy (I wont call him a detailer) way the one who delivered the truck to me. When I dropped the truck off to begin I had had the interior detailed so when I received the truck after paint it would be mint. The didnt plastic off my dash, cover seats, or put down paper floor covering and that's how it was delivered. The lot boy didnt even was the roof, the interior was toasted I had about 20 new seat belt chips on the inside of the doors a bunch of fish eyes, chips around the door lock, and a defect in the clear on the passenger rear door. His excuse was the products used to detail the interior caused all the issues. I told hi. Prep is the key to good paint and he failed. It cost about 8,000 for the paint and after all the rental fees and time off to deal with it I'm into it over 10,000 and I'm still getting over it.

My dad and uncle painted the car.  But my dad passed before it was detailed.

That said, when I had the front fenders rolled and repainted I used Brand X customs.  Hes amazing.  He painted a good portion of my old f250 and will be painting my lightning.

Brought home a "New to me" low mile 97 4.0 OHV motor that I got for dirt cheap...with a 5 speed thrown in for free!

I couldn't pass the deal up, even if it ends up just being a spare.

I haven't made up my mind yet whether to finish my re-sealing job I was in the middle of doing on my 93 4.0 that's in my truck, or stopping and swapping!! :?

I drove the little one up to wendys to get my son some nuggets. Air bag out, bezel and radio out, hvac controls out, no passenger seat, looked like a recovered partially stripped stolen vehicle.

Too cold to work on the little one today. I could hear it calling me through the kitchen window "Work on me Work on me" but there it sat all day, lonely.

After I put up the xmas lights and finished my chores, I gave the truck a bath, then applied TC Black Fusion to all the exterior black plastic and rubber. It works awesome and lasts a year. Even if you was regularly it still stays black and shiny like new. It's about $15 a bottle and one bottle is enough to do all the trim on most vehicles.
