Previous owner took it out. And it's a bitch to try and find one in good shape and tan in color for a 92

I second this but use dielectric grease.

Today I put in some Armor All floor protectors AND a new blingy steering wheel cover.
What can I say I am a girl and I love the bling. (wink)

Put the second washer under the seat rail, it's clear off the truck floor now, feels pretty good though.

I have a marginal concern of how much material it's now not sat on, but i'm not too worried.
Makes me wonder if this really is a change in the floor pan from '02 to '06.

Been driving it.  I was getting some random ABS light on the dash for some reason.  Changed the rear ABS sensor and went with a new front master cylinder brake switch/cruise control switch.. I guess there was a recall for this.  Came with a new harness as well.  Installed both and no more ABS light on the dash.  Happy those fixed it and it was not expensive.

Wow that turned out great! I'd be afraid to drive it at this point. Glass case needed.

Did you vacuum bleed the p/s? Air trapped in the rack can cause that to happen.

No I did not. I refilled the system with fluid & waited until I did not see any more bubbles coming from the fluid in the pump, started the truck & turned the wheel left to right a few times. I did not notice it as much on my way home from work.

Hey Nigel,

How the projectors going ?
That ABS Harness, I had mine changed out by Ford over six years ago, something about causing a fire if you used the brakes too much... how do you use the brakes too much; what do you do ride your foot on the pedal causing the system to actuate and heat up the harness !
I went in to have the harness replaced and was told they didn't have any in stock so they disconnected the ABS... !

Projector headlights !

I will post here too about the Projector Headlight Retrofit you did... way back when, "May 2012" !
I figure I will get better coverage if I post here too !

Copied from the other Ranger Forum...  in reference to Projector headlight Retrofit...  you used the same projectors I am thinking on !
"NewShockerGuy,

OK OOOLLLDDDD Post, May 2012 last post.  I had to ask some questions.
Nice work !
You didn't mention you had done a projector retro to a Ranger before !
Can you fill in the blanks for an old guy... or maybe you can't remember  ?
How did you decide how much to cut out of the housings ?
How did you decide where to put the bolt holes for mounting the Projectors ?
Etc., etc., etc... !
Did you d a write up ?

Thanks for any info on this, I was going to order through The Retrofit Source, but I am not sure i want or even can do the install properly and i don't want to screw it up !

Ltr"

Next the truck above, looks like a newer version of the one you did the projectors on, is it the same one ?

As I asked in the copied post, any thing you want to spill about setting up the Projectors in the housings ?

I didn't order my projectors yet, I know what I want, the D2S, 4.0, the Switchback Halos, Apollo 3.0 Shrouds, 35 Watt Drivers... 9007 Harness; sound good but the idea of cutting the new housings and mounting the Projectors using the bolt holes is holding me back.  It's that or pay $700 to get them done, which would bring the cost of new retrofitted Projector headlights to... drum roll pleas... $1050.00... !
I keep telling myself it is the cost of wanting projector headlights but I still can't press the buy button.

Again thanks for any help or not !

Ltr
p.s. do you have any additional pictures of your Retrofit Projector Install ?

TODAY I did a rear brake line on my sons 02.

It's like the 4th one I have done, first couple I went to the auto parts store and got lines, adapters, wrong lengths, more adapters, wrong threads....

By the 3rd one I bought a roll of line and a flare tool. BINGO this is by far the easiest and fastest way to do this I will never buy individual lines again. Spend the money, buy the tool (was like 10 bucks at auto zone) and get a roll of line it will save you HOURS of work and reduce the PITA factor substantially.

There is a sensor connector in the front of the master cylinder I took off to be able to have more room. There is a little soft rubber rectangular seal that is supposed to stay in the connector, when I pulled up it was atop the sensor. I touched it and "fling" it was gone!! You would think you could find a bright red rubber seal on a pile of brown rust but noooooooo.

Had to run to work anyway to get a roll of line (was in my box) and while I was there... hey I have a couple vehicles in the back I'll just steal on of those seals. Went to my explorer and pulled up on the sensor connector... "fling" the rubber gasket didn't even wait for me to touch it it went flying to the frame. We did find that one but it should stick in the plug like it was designed to!!

In August of 2015 the brake line going to the rear differential on my Ranger rusted out right at the rubber hose to the differential. I purchased a roll of the Nicopp brake line (so it does not rust out again), brake line fittings, & a good brake line flaring tool & made a new line from the junction point under the drivers side door back to the rubber hose. X2 on getting a good brake line flaring tool. I removed the gas tank to make it easier.
Old rusted broken line,

New line,

Nicopp brake line I used,

Well I attempted to install my Rostra aftermarket cruise control. It took a bit of time and some researching wire colors and all. The instructions leave a lot of information out.

Once I completed the install I went to test drive it and I can't even put it in gear (auto). The switch that allows you to put it I gear isn't working. There were two wires tapped into the brake pedal switch for the cruise control.

Fearing the worst, I removed both of those wires and made sure the stock wires were put back together well. The brake lights work, but the "lock" still wont disengage to allow me to put it in gear.

Anyone have any idea what I did or how to fix it?

Also, the traction control light is coming on now. I did nothing with any of those wires. Could be a different issue or could be related.

For now, I can't drive the truck. I was going to try to bypass or remove the "lock" but I can't even find it. Looks like I'm to have to try and get the steering column out or remove half the dash.

I need some help here.

2011 way too new for me to know anything about the wiring, but I would check the fuses you might have caused a short accidentally.

There is a remote chance it is un related but too much of a coincidence.

I checked 100% of the fuses, no issues. I just replaced the brake light switch this morning, parking solenoid still doesn't work.

I removed the solenoid and jumped it with the same plug below and it works. So it's almost like one of 9,257 wires under there is causing it issues.

I may just end up removing the solenoid. I've played with this thing for 2 days and I can't find the issue.

I hate those things anyway, anyone too stupid to be on the brake when on a slant taking it out of park shouldn't be driving.

That looks good Mike, I love the honeycomb grille with the lights behind it. That Westin bar looks great too.

You throwing more lights on it or just extra front end protection?
