Well I attempted to install my Rostra aftermarket cruise control. It took a bit of time and some researching wire colors and all. The instructions leave a lot of information out.

Once I completed the install I went to test drive it and I can't even put it in gear (auto). The switch that allows you to put it I gear isn't working. There were two wires tapped into the brake pedal switch for the cruise control.

Fearing the worst, I removed both of those wires and made sure the stock wires were put back together well. The brake lights work, but the "lock" still wont disengage to allow me to put it in gear.

Anyone have any idea what I did or how to fix it?

Also, the traction control light is coming on now. I did nothing with any of those wires. Could be a different issue or could be related.

For now, I can't drive the truck. I was going to try to bypass or remove the "lock" but I can't even find it. Looks like I'm to have to try and get the steering column out or remove half the dash.

I need some help here.
