TODAY I did a rear brake line on my sons 02.

It's like the 4th one I have done, first couple I went to the auto parts store and got lines, adapters, wrong lengths, more adapters, wrong threads....

By the 3rd one I bought a roll of line and a flare tool. BINGO this is by far the easiest and fastest way to do this I will never buy individual lines again. Spend the money, buy the tool (was like 10 bucks at auto zone) and get a roll of line it will save you HOURS of work and reduce the PITA factor substantially.

There is a sensor connector in the front of the master cylinder I took off to be able to have more room. There is a little soft rubber rectangular seal that is supposed to stay in the connector, when I pulled up it was atop the sensor. I touched it and "fling" it was gone!! You would think you could find a bright red rubber seal on a pile of brown rust but noooooooo.

Had to run to work anyway to get a roll of line (was in my box) and while I was there... hey I have a couple vehicles in the back I'll just steal on of those seals. Went to my explorer and pulled up on the sensor connector... "fling" the rubber gasket didn't even wait for me to touch it it went flying to the frame. We did find that one but it should stick in the plug like it was designed to!!
