all right, leftover = you need to sort them out right?
(where they will go now because they do not match up to the explorer)
Pin 13, C1215 - TX signal (TX signal is the OBD2 communication network)..... it still needs to go to the 5.0 PCM,(so you can talk to PCM with scanner)
Pin 32, C1216 - RX signal SAME SAME (pins 3 & 11 on the explorer are SCP bus + and - ,which is where these wires need to go)
Pin 15, C926 - fuel pump relay control (this is the PCM turning on the fuel pump) - pin 15 on the explorer is the same thing C926
Pin 23 - Theft light used to be controlled by the 2002 PCM. Now it goes nowhere since 96 Explorer does not have pats
Pin 24 - What color is this wire? We need to see if it is power going to PCM or from, then I can tell you where it goes.
Pin 29 - 4x4 low light input to pcm, goes nowhere now 5.0 pcm has no 4x4 systems of any kind
Pin 30 - AC clutch relay control. In a Ranger the pcm turns on the compressor clutch. In explorer the dash does. You are going to need to move this wire to the power distribution box on the truck side of things
Pin 31 - same as 24
Pin 35 - AC clutch switch out from pcm to ac relay.... NOT anymore, your AC relay will be controlled by the dash. This wire will get wired directly to pin 30, so now the PCM is taken out of the circuit
Pin 14?, C91 - Canister vent - Pin 14 on Explorer, same same
Pin 41, Fuel cap light indicator, PCM to instrument cluster check cap light. Explorer PCM does not have, this wire goes nowhere
Pin 18? SSR sensor signal return, light grey with red on all years and models as far as I know) Also pin 18 on Explorer, same same
Explorer side:
Pin 37 - C198, AC high pressure switch VT - this COULD BE the ground wire headed from the low pressure switch on the pass side to the high press switch as we discussed earlier, I said it was red/yellow, changes colors some years)
Pin 5 - Fuel pump monitor input - I will have to look up where this one goes do not know off the top of my head. I know the 5.0 PCM is aware when the fuel pump is running, this is verification of the relay turned on? I will look it up
Pin 20 - C199 this wire is coming from the DTRS transmission range sensor to ........... I will find out
Pin 17 - C791 fuel tank pressure sensor signal to pcm, your 02 has a fuel tank pressure switch we need to sort this wire out on the ranger side
