A lot of info, I attempted the Explorer Leather/powered seat into a standard cab Ranger, I am 6-2 and the size of the seats were too big, too high, not comfortable.
I tightened the front bolts, checked out the rear bolts, tried to slide in place and found the seat were to close to the steering wheel. I tried to drive it and found it to be too uncomfortable to leave that way. As much as I wanted Powered/Leather Seat in the EDGE it was not to be.
Too many other projects that needed to be done.
The brackets on the Ex Seats only lined up with the front bolts the rear would have had to be re-drilled, not a biggy but not a bolt-in.
I did find that my '03 EDGE Seat Tracks were bolt-in to the Seat Pan. That helped in the FX4 Bucket Seats I got in a swap and that the passenger side seat in a 60/40 setup, is a standard bucket seat without lumbar adjust, that is helpful when fab'g seat brackets.
The seat covers were the same, except for pattern, for all seat backs, also the seat can be swapped side to side if you can unbolt the tracks. the seat pans have holes on both sides, allowing any shafts or cables to come through either side. So to get a quick driver's side bucket seat you can take a passenger side seat, switch the seat pans and wham-bam... the driver has a bucket seat to sit in.
I don't know when the bolt-in tracks were swapped for the weld-in tracks but if all Ranger Standard Cab Seat Tracks are similar, and you can find the Bolt-in Tracks, then you open up a lot of seat applications for the Standard Cab Rangers.
This may not be info about Ex-Seat but it is interesting when trying to swap seats around in general.
