I've seen this one more than a few times.  I think he was amember on the other site.  My only question is this: What the   is the point in duals if you are gonna put a cap on the truck?

Why do some people still insist that letting your pants hang down half way your butt showing your underwear, clinching your crotch with one hand to keep them from falling down the rest of the way and walking along the side of the road actually looks cool?

Isn't it dangerous to have the rear tires touching like that? Especially when they're loaded? I've read/heard it creates a lot of heat in the tire and greatly increases a chance of a blowout?

And JAMMAN, the reason for that is probably the same reason people went through with the Tide Pod challenge and the dozens other ridiculous challenges....attention. Purely speculation though, my pants fit and I know how to properly use a belt.

Seems like the phrase I was taught to tell the DMV inspector for my CDL pre-trip was "No cuts, no rubbing, no debris between the duals."

Yep, and if you didn't say that you wouldn't have a CDL

Does that mean they don't really pose a threat any more than normal tires would, or does that solidify my point? Lol sorry this may have been a joke that went over my head

Not a joke- truck drivers (which I'm not- I just have a license to drive them) are required to inspect their truck before driving it to make sure it's safe. When you take the CDL (commercial driver's license) test, you're required to demonstrate to the inspector that you know what to look for.

One of the things you're supposed to tell him is that you're checking to make sure the dual tires aren't touching one another, because that would be a safety hazard and you shouldn't drive the truck that way.

I am like you I have a Class B CDL that I needed when I was a SatCom Engineer to dive a satellite uplink truck ever so often. I still maintain my CDL but will have to renew my expired divers physical when it is time to renew my license in 4 years.

I asked that same question, on the other site. Got pretty well ignored IIRC. My buddy at the dealer builds trucks, and sells them there. He had a F350 Screw dually that he lifted and went with custom wheels/tires, don't remember what size, but he wound up throwing on some spacers on the duals to get some space between them.
