I did the accesory power mod as outlined here: Accesory Power Mod and put some LED's in my front turn signals which had an unusually pleasant result I'll explain in the LED section :)

Had to cut a 1" wheel spacer off the rr axel. Two of the short lug nuts rounded off and would not loosen. Carved away the aluminum and then split the nuts.

An overly helpful tire tech had impacted then on as tight as his gun would go and the short flats objected to the forces.

Not usually a fan of spacers but the 17" Mustang Bullit rims have about 40mm more offset than the OEM Ranger rims and spacers are the only way to correct the offset and get the wheels to clear the suspension.

Replaced the 1" with 1.5" to come closer to correcting the offset and to clear the deeper hub centers on a new pair of front rotors.

As an upside, the 1.5" spacers use full size lug nuts so should not be as easy to round off with high torque.

To top off day, finally found and repaired a leak in the a/c system. Had to shove 250 psi of nitrogen into the system and use a sonic leak detector to find a blown seal at the low pressure switch.

Got a good vacuum pulled and stuck the OEM spec 850 grams of R134a. Hopefully, the a/c should be good for another year or two unless the failed compressor of 2 years ago left still more debris in the system to clog the orifice tube.

Haha, yeah, i'm not sure it would be big enough ;)

I basically have to mask off the badge, and the surround, as the clips are so brittle that even a test twist with a screw driver, it instantly popped/snapped the clip :(

About to wipe, every.  single.  honeycomb, in the grille with Isopropyl and tape it off.  Not gonna be fun doing that, *or* spraying it.

Also grabbed this on sale just to have something in the truck for bad weather (along with cleat thingies just in case)

Sprayed my rear b-pillars with black vinyl spray.  Goes much better with my black suede headliner and cf wrapped interior.  Shitting pictures as they are drying in the garage since it's too windy outside.  Will try to get better pictures once I put them back into the truck.

I used this:
https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/duplicolor-vinyl-and-fabric-coating-flat-black-11-oz.-aerosol-hvp106/7141483-P

I might have actually sprayed the a-pillars had I known it was this easy...lol

I did my sun visors a year or so ago using the same stuff and they look good. Little dry but I read that a lot of people prefer this on plastic than fabric. Went on super easy and looks good. Not shiny since I used flat black but there is a slight sheen... almost like the stock trim on the truck.

Makes me wonder if I should do the bottom part of the door.

I wish the top padded part on my door was black. Seems like the newer rangers have black fabric there instead of the perforated vinyl that ford used on early models.

I know it's in the garage, i know for a fact i never used it :( Fairly certain i bought it to touch up the 350z interior.

I have a pretty good stereo in the Ranger- components, amp, 10" sub etc- and I frequently dealt with the conundrum:

"Well, im here. Do I shut the engine off, go to accessory and wait for the stereo to boot back up and finish the song? Do I shut it off and just go in? Do I leave the engine running and finish the song?"

Now I just turn the key off and finish the song without interruptions :rock

It's funny I never thought about it when it wasn't there but I use this several times a day now that I have it. Only been a few days and already the most used mod on the truck aside from turn signal LED's lol.

Alright alright, I don't listen to the radio much or have electric, well, anything, but this still seems like a mod I should do, what's it cost?

Also, how about a mod to turn on the interior light (as if the door was just opened) when you remove the key?

There already is push you interior light dimmer all the way up, it will click and the interior light comes on, if it doesn't something is wrong with your dimmer.

Good point, Brad! Still, the idea of removing the key and it kicking on the dome lights is intriguing.

I'm too used to our other cars where key out turns on the interior lights, it's really convenient and you *really* notice when the Ranger goes dark and stays that way at night :(

I am going to give that some thought (okay, I ALREADY have). I'm thinking it might be doable (is that even a word?).

Went out and tried to see how to mount my LED light bars behind the grille.

They have a center mount point, either top or bottom, but the bottom isn't ideal as i can't get to the other side, and the top pinches in a little (see pic) and means the light has to be on a slight angle :(

Not sure what the solution is yet
