Why would you !
Make it to match the Flat Bed with enough height to allow for loads and wheel flex !

Because the whole point of the fender is to catch mud & water thrown off the tyre and the closer it is to the tyre the better it does that job.

Oh hell no!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like Car toys was in there trying to install something lucky it did not burn down!!

Finished 2006 Ranger engine replacement. 306K miles on factory engine before she went down, 306K on the factory fuel pump too! Truck has a newer M5OD and t case from the junk yard last year and had an Oreillys clutch in it installed last year (Powertorque slave cylinder)
The clutch slave was already starting to leak from the housing, the pilot bearing was dry and the trans was leaking badly from the torn shifter boot. So we rebuilt the shifter, installed all new Luk clutch and hydraulics. I learned how to bleed one of these clutch systems in about 5 minutes this time around. We removed the "bad" engine and installed engine from 2007 Ranger with 120K on it. Engine was fitted with many new parts, plenum gaskets etc. New pump and strainer installed........She runs perfectly now! Happy customer.

Today we vacuum and charge the AC, drain and fill the 5 speed and t case, service the rear diff (cover leaking) and send her home.
Nice one owner truck...see whats possible if you just change your oil?
FYI the 2006 engine may still be good!! The joker mechanic these people were using told them the engine was shot...so far I have only found a weak fuel pump and the #3 spark plug had never been changed, the other 5 had been changed at least once... I am looking forward to checking compression then tearing the sohc down with 306 on it should be interesting.........

Nicely done, and i like the look of that front 'bush' guard, do you know the name?

Also, the clutch bleed technique; any different or updated from the suggestion you gave me recently? (i obviously haven't had time to look at mine yet :( )

I have those same shelves!!

"Every time i try to start the truck , all power in the truck shut-off."

Either in the battery cables or the ignition switch
Do the dash lights stay on or does everything go dead?
Check your battery connections, cables and ground feeds from the battery

any different or updated from the suggestion you gave me recently?
YES basically when installing a new master cylinder you can bleed the master and hydro line rather easily. With the reservoir hanging on the wall (in my case it was zip tied to husky shelves) and the master cylinder below the reservoir and the hydraulic line hanging down even lower (just like the bleed video I posted). I filled the system, let it hang for a minute full of fluid and tapped on the system with a screwdriver. This time instead of bench bleeding the new master by depressing the plunger I simply used some O ring pliers and pulled the snap ring out of the end of the master. Then carefully pull out the white plunger....brake fluid will fill the master up to the top, re install plunger and YOU ARE DONE
no air at all.
install in truck, hook up slave...bleed slave 3-4 times and we have a full clutch
Took all of 5 minutes.
Much easier technique IMO

Should have done this years ago!
Did you know I converted my 1988 Bronco II from a 2.9L and A4LD to a 4.0 and M5od in 1996, only to fight with that clutch for the next 8 months. I went through 2 M5OD's and 3 clutches trying to get it right. I could never get 1st or reverse as I should have been able to, I even had my clutch our 2 times in one day. Eventually I gave up on the manual trans and swapped back to a built up A4lD (better for 4x4ing anyways) because I could never get the clutch right. Years later I would learn why, the dreaded air bubble.
Now in 2018 I finally learn to just take the dang master apart, let the air out and be done with it......... I wonder how long I would have kept the Bii a 5 speed had it worked out properly?

I just finish to check and clean a lot of connection , fuse and relay and everything is back to normal. I didn't find any real problem, so i guess i will forget long trip in the few next day just to be sure and hope it was that easy to fix!

It could be power relay like eec relay or gem just keep your eye on it and if it happens again note exactly what lights do what
I have also had reman starters go bad right out of the box
A bad starter solenoid can act like a dead short
Check your battery and alternator voltage when running, when off and after sitting over night

Ahhhh flatbeds. So useful!

I do not know what brand that push bar is, I looked all over it after you asked and I do not see a name anywhere. It was a nice unit. I like the shape of the bars because it was comfortable on my knees while we changed the engine.

Owner is super happy with the work we did, their 2006 was sitting at a mechanics shop for 6+ months before they brought it to us, here it took 1.5 week to do new clutch and engine with full tune up, service rear diff, trans, rebuilt shifter and more. Gave them an estimate for more work too like disc brake rear axle and fix the two suicide doors that do not open anymore...they are coming back soon. The best part is the wife drove the Ranger all the way home to Montana (60+ miles or so) and then they sent me a pic of the truck at home, very happy! They have their beloved Ranger back!!
She said when this engine dies they want a V8..... Customer for life is born!!

That they are . As far as the rear fenders go . My plan was and still is to cut and welding 2” strips To extend out the length . Then widen with another 2” strip . Just haven't made it to the metal shop yet . As far as suspension goes out back I'm using the leafs from a 96 Explorer which gave me a extra leaf spring in the pack . With lil weight out back it's a stiff ride with lil give . But I like it . Now your right on the flexing pulling out of angle driveways I rub. But once I extend the fenders it will Work out just right . I want the fenders to hug the tires close just the look I'm going for . I don't like fender gap personally on my own rides . Hence the reason I'm goin one more 1” lower up front

explorer leafs in Ranger are stiff!! That's for sure....but they do allow you to carry loads and the weight of a flatbed

Genuinely interested in it for both those reasons! :)

I wonder if they'd tell you if it was an ebay special or something.

The red one runs, I'm half way through a tutorial on replacing a timing belt because of the inaccuracies I found on the internet.

Fired right up, rattled a little for a half a second being it has not been started in months but did run. I'll throw plates on it this weekend and drive it a little.
