I wanted to see what the feedback on the subject would be based upon what I've seen as a mesh of different cultures within both industry and what I see or have seen in this forum so far and a few others like it.

With the upcoming NEW Ford Ranger we as an industry are already seeing a change in venue. The insertion of a new vehicle platform especially in one that was taken away from the North American shores as a returning ambition is picking up speed among manufacturing and product companies alike in an effort to jump start the market trends and support values we will all witness from one perspective or another.

We ourselves are already positioning ourselves to meet those upcoming new demands further to capture market attention and improve our B2B with dealer networks and new interested parties, especially in the creation of demo vehicles and or dedicated and associated club outreaching.

Now with the Ranger/Explorer programs used today from yesteryear if you would is not going to dry up and go away. I promise you unless just outright more money than brains and or total abuse (without company support and backup in a pro/semi capacity) No one is gonna be bashing new Rangers about so to speak just to do so.

The older platforms will continue to be sought after, used, sold, traded, scrapped, and parts distributed and still maintain some order of market support without doubt.. at least for another half a decade or so. This makes for some serious yay or nay decisions in many companies as to whether they follow the new flow because they can or have to in order to stay afloat or maybe cinch a niche they do well at.

I assure those we serve and look forward to serving we aim to do our best at maintaining a market medium that will continue to not only keep parts on shelves and the interest of those parts from being forgotten or discontinued by lack of needs or wants but to help and or assist in design, testing, and the production or manufacturing of said products as best as we can for as long as we can by choosing well made brands and parts and making them available for use and need. That done right along with great business practice should keep us around for a long time.. at least that is the goal.

With that being said we wanted to hear from people like you, the end users as to what you feel is missing, unavailable, or hard to come by parts? Where can we divide our focus to in assistance to things that matter most to the Ford ranger community?

Is it current items that just aren't made well enough? unavailability of parts in general? is it lost parts no longer made? Or is it ingenuity of new parts just because the ages have made the market weak?
Are we missing or not paying attention to a demand thats NOT being met or listened to and if so why?

Our current agenda is to create our momentum and own brand of parts for the Ranger vehicle culture already designed around some specific uses, which with your feedback could be expanded on to reach additional or further use. These parts include but aren't limited to:
  • Winch bumpers; covering all years and offered in both completed & assembled or DIY welding kits offering short bull bar, high grill bar, and full hoops.
  • Matching rear bumpers w/Multi-carrier feature as an option, also offered in both completed & assembled or DIY welding kits. offering a possible rear exo-skeleton option of a wrap around protection.
  • High-tuck rock slider w/or without a step
  • Rock slider to front bumper (full hoop only) exo-skeleton bash bars to protect front fenders.
  • Improved portions of existing under armament protection, including and up to being whats considered full or complete skid-plate setup
  • A full and multi faceted and functional bed rack capable of hauling gear, fuel cells, recovery gear, a spare tire, and have the strength to uphold a rack mountable tent from CVT, Tepui, Front Runner, ect..
  • A roof rack made for additional storage needs and gear, (still overcoming an issue on some Ranger models with this but we'll figure it out).
  • Multiple accessories that add on or in addition to the front/rear bumpers, bed racks, roof racks, etc.. for expandability or just up-fitting upgrades.
  • Misc storage compartmentalization from within the bed and the frame works.
  • A completely modular aluminum flat bed for use as short height stake bed with aluminum walls (6.00"-8.00") that can be removed and a gull wing full length side doors, aluminum canopy that's dust and water proof to a degree (NOT under submerging)
  • An affordable lockable bed mountable storage drawer system with a short version for the Explorer.
  • Misc smaller parts, brackets, and add-ons to supplement these parts and others as a start.

Our hands are in a lot of things and we're working on the supporting factors of it all too based upon interest and of course practicality and cost for all. I am sure some of these products will spark up new ideas in lieu of over coming small hurdles in R&D.

Still, again we would like to hear the opinions and perspectives from what we consider our peers because in the end, we'll be here trying to serve you. We can only own so many trucks of our own to Doctor up and outfit ya know..

Please, Let us know your thoughts

I need a hand full of those bolts that attach the tailgate portion of bedliners to the tailgate. They are like shoulder bolts, maybe I don't know what to call them but I can't seem to find any on e-bay, and every ranger I find in scrap yards have been raped of said bolts.

Lights seem to be popular, all kinds and shapes, different mounting scenarios.

Skid plate setup is a great idea.

Really we will have no idea what the newer ones are lacking until we drive them.

Would said shouldered screw-creatures look like these by chance...

?

EDIT:: And the parts mentioned above are meant for and being designed based upon the 93-11 crowds unless feedback shows a fair demand of interest too.

I wanted to reiterate that this would be specifically spinning the clock backwards and creating these products for the 93-11 Ford Rangers, and not so much yet for the NEW 2018+ Ranger.

Just if there was any confusion.

I don't do any off-roading. It just isn't something that interests me (and I wouldn't think of taking my baby out in the mud, rocks and sticks as many other members do. I like to keep it clean. I haven't had any problems finding parts that I need for my truck, but then again, I'm normally looking for things like spark plugs or tires. Normal items you can get pretty much anywhere. I guess that didn't really help you much, did it?

All appreciated answers gentlemen

We realize that not everyone is the off-roading type nor someone who may not be much above general information of just maintaining their truck and simply having questions and finding a forum to find answers or opinions on matters.

Our emphasis in this post is and was to discover and feel the community at hand interest and position as we do offer some crossover parts that may interest some and yet as we see not others.

This also gives us clues as to what group buys to present to the community in order to offer not only usable items to maximize our efforts but make offers that hold interest by said community. Doesn't matter if we were to put a group buy on Factor 55 gear if all we seemed to have it in was Tiffany Blue. I mean maybe for the right price some people may become more "colorful" individuals but the point being we want to bring what people need or are looking for.

The website itself is loaded with multiple item genre's covering a multitude of outdoor activities and active lifestyles. We think you'll be a bit surprised at what you'll find once we push that "Launch!" Button.

As always, we look forward to being an active part here, a LOT of good names and personality's I've seen active.. we should be no less.

I assume you will announce here (and other forums, no doubt) when you are ready to launch. I most definitely will be among those members that will check out what you have to offer. Like you said, it may be of interest even if it *IS* on a primarily OFF ROADING site. :)

With some remedy, looking end of first week of January as launch date. I'll narrow it down more specifically a day or three in advance as we've got several corners of the country waiting in anticipation thanks to some great connections and supporters.

Trust in there will be an announcement, data entry is a slow process and unfortunately the software absurdly only allows for one person to enter data at a time so even if I wanted to put others on task.. I can't. I get the idea behind it but at the same time insanely annoying and frustrating to deal with when your inputting in great detail items, descriptions, quality pictures, interchanges and or pertinent information and are limited to a single computer and at the very most 55 products in a single 8-10 hr opportunity.

Just staying focused, its crunch time.

Multiple concurrent points of data entry into what is probably an SQL database back end can be quite problematic and also requires a lot of server horsepower. In order to avoid conflicting record updates/duplicate records, the vendor has chosen to hold you to one entry at a time... which is the easiest way (but also the SAFEST way).

My '03 has been relegated to DD Status but I still like the look of an Off-Road Vehicle; I still add mods both inside and out.

New Ranger... I for one do not like the new look of the World Class Ranger, reminds me of the Ford EDGE Crossover... should not be called a truck.

I probably will never buy a new F150 ($$$) and Ford is pushing me to Toyota for my next Truck based solely on "What they think buyers want" !

I also am not an offroader. I find no thrill in it, but I understand why someone would.

I'm massively disappointing that the Ranger that's coming back is that Euro-thing. A face-lifted '11 or so would have been better... I don't believe it deserves the Ranger title, but that's just me in my very American ways.

All that being said, I will take a look at what you guys have to offer.

One thing all 93-11 Ranger owners would love though is a rear disk conversion kit. That's something I want to do, but unless I want to crack out a welder and make an expo rear end work or buy a very new rearend to stick under it, I'm left with cobbling something together. Not a cozy idea when it's your brakes.... So, if you want something else to add to your line, there's a big one for you.

We agree in many ways, I particularly am partial to the 90'-00 years with no disregard for the later years, just nothing changed enough but added features, overall, same trucks.

And although the newer Ford Ranger is somewhat less masculine in some opinions, we must remember that Ford abandoned the boys here at home in the good ole' USA and the Ranger went through changes without the North American markets regard for consent in changes. Across the world - opinions vary wildly to mildly. Only thing I would entertain on the NEW 2018 Ranger is if they pulled the trigger and give us the 3.0L diesel option.. then and just then we may have to fetch one for a shop truck for demo purposes.

As for the Option of better things and disc brakes with Explorer 31 spline axles. We do have things that would be not only a performance upgrade but an entirely improved upon better situation that can be installed in your driveway with no more than some basic wrenches, a hacksaw, and a file in just about an hour.

This kit eliminates the C-clip axle retention, works with any locker currently available for the 8.8, and adds over an inch and a half to the width of the axle which also means a better offset than stock with the elimination of the use of a spacer or adapter.

The axleshafts that come in the kit are a one-piece forging made in the U.S.A. from American steel. The 31-spline, 4340 chromoly shafts are CNC-machined, rolled-splined, and induction-hardened for added durability. Also, the larger, thicker flanges will not bend like the stock pieces do. The wheel-stud holes are drilled and tapped for 1/2-inch thread in wheel studs in both the stock 5-on-4.5 and 5-on-5 bolt patterns.

If you're running a disc brake 8.8-inch axle from an Explorer, the rotor, caliper and caliper mount will hold the axle and tire onto the housing. If you have drum brakes, the c-clips can be more of an issue.

Shy of making sure you weld the new shock mounts at the proper 6
° angle on the axle. Hows that for easier and better?

Hello,

Is there a C-Clip Eliminator Kit available for a 2002 Ford Ranger FX4 Rear Axle ?

I believe it is the same as the Explorer Axle but was just wondering !

I have been thinking about a D44 Front Axle from an Early Bronco and it has a the 5 x 5 Bolt Pattern and if there is a kit that has wider Axles, and a 5 x 5 Bolt Pattern, that would eliminate more than the C-Clips, it would eliminate a buying of parts that don't always mix.

Thanks for your time and effort,

12 Degrees North,
You need to get your site together !

I can double check the full application list but it should be the same kit for your 02' FX I believe and yes its nice having parts related kit that simplifies things and not having to task yourself with multiple shopping sprees to get all the required parts you hope to gather at once without having more than at least one return trip. ;)

As for our site, seriously its coming right around the corner..!

I personally seen you subscribe to the site recently, so I thank you for the support.

BTW, what (general) part of the Temecula area are you from?

That's the first time I have been asked that question... the area known as Wine Country.  Some of the best California Wines come from Southern California.

Do you know the area; are you from the area ?

And Yes, Please check on the applications ?

I did a year out at Paso Robles when I was in the military. The trucks that were used in the vineyards had a bumper sticker "Paso is for wine, Napa is for auto parts". The ventners would donate cases of wine to soldiers that worked at the base. I would average 4 bottles of free wine a week.

I can attest that California makes the best wines in the world.

I'm new to this site and am trying hard to fit in. I can't figure out how to post questions to get the most feed back. Jammin guided me to the general ranger discussion, I guess I'm on what he wants me on, I see a whole list of comments but don't see how I can include my questions. There doesn't seem to have any message board. When I find a lead, because I don't get prompted I have no where to post. I need to do this right and I guess asking elementary questions is the way. Sorry, and to any respondents, thanks. looking to complete a total coolant rebuild with all new stuff.

Something small to share on our behalf.

Today we got a few shirt samples back from our "Gravity" and "Northbound" shirts with minimal corrections needed on one of them. Now finalizing & setting up artwork for 2 more cotton shirts; with one also as a compression-fitted shirt [think Under Armour], and a pull-over hoodie sweatshirt with a awesome topo map design.

The stretchable screened media is of amazing quality and looks great on equally top quality pre-shrunk 100% Hanes cotton T's.

The imagery has 'POP' in all of the colors we have selected so far.. We'll see how the rest come out.

That he did Sir... and the material is stretchable in all directions with NO distortions or cracking unlike old school screening.
