Multiple concurrent points of data entry into what is probably an SQL database back end can be quite problematic and also requires a lot of server horsepower. In order to avoid conflicting record updates/duplicate records, the vendor has chosen to hold you to one entry at a time... which is the easiest way (but also the SAFEST way).
