 What paint colorcolors and design you going with? I think the white with the splash stripes would look good especially if done in a pearl white and the stripes gray and silver

Right now we are just going to clay bar and buff the whole truck. Maybe next year it will get a paint job but it would stay white with the splash logos pin stripe on. Main focus is getting it running and making passes.

 I'm goin to look into that adapter . I've seen that one before when lookin . And since you have box steering and see how much space you got . My adapter leaks a lil which is starting to aggravate me now .

Just remember my engine is as far back and down low as possible because of the motor plates. I'm not sure if it would fit using regular mounts.

 Feels like I've been gone a while.  Been super busy helping other projects out. Finally got some time to work on my own.  New brakes installed and rear shocks. Now I need to plumb the lines.

The roll cage is chromoly. Which must be tog welded.  It's lighter and looks a hell of a lot better.

Ahhh okay. Well, chromoly definitely puts you into the "Most Money Spent" award lol. Looks good man. Can't wait to see track times. Are you eventually thinking about a 4 link, or just going to run the suspension you have? I apologize if you do have a 4 link, I just couldn't remember seeing it.

Thanks for sharing this is one nice Splash drag truck for sure.


Call me retarded in the drag racing world but why is the belt driven pump on the drivers side plumbed into the valve cover (PCV)? Some sort of air circulation for the crankcase??? Some sort of oil pump?

Thank you.  It means a lot.    And that's a vacuum pump. It basically makes the rings seal better which makes more power.

 It's been a hell of a day.  I finally got the hood mounted. It was a little challenging and I still need to adjust the latches a little more but I really like it.  Bumper is next.

 who's hood?
We put a cowl hood no a 84 Ranger we built and the build quality was, well it was pretty  . Your hood looks nice and straight in comparison!
Finding one for a Gen I is a PITA

A belt driven vacuum pump, just like my 97 7.3 truck! Smart.
We have same 84 Ranger with crate 302, the camshaft grind  does not make enough intake vacuum to feed the large explorer brake booster and dash HVAC controls. 
Looking at options adding an electric pump with switch, Aerostar hydroboost conversion or now belt driven! Thanks for the ideas
Splash is so nice!!!! So much want!!!

The hood is vfn. It's one of the nicest hoods I've seen straight out of the box. Lowlife kustoms makes a nice hood for square body rangers as well.

 Been picking away at the truck. And working on a customer engine. But brakes are done, lines ran and plumbed. Bump steer will be here soon.  And next is fuel lines. Almost time to roll is back outside so I can clean up the garage

 Bump steer is in and the truck back on the ground. Pushed it outside to get some sun while I cleaned up. Next up finish the fuel system then hopefully wiring. I can't get over how small this truck is compared to my f150
