Sure does, I'm actually really happy with the way it turned out, I wasn't expecting it to look this factory.

It is amazing what a little paint can do. That is one of the first things I did to mine when I bought it.

Filled it with gas and gave it a very long overdue bath and interior cleaning.

Got bored today after doing some house work.  Since it was nice out I painted a part of the door panels.

I'd really like to get the newer ones that have the black upper part but I am not spending $200 for something that functionally will be identical to what I already have..lol

Looks a little different from stock.  I was half temped to paint the entire thing but my fear is nicking it or it looking like ass from me doing something silly.  The lower part is never touched so it should be fine.

Looks good, Nigel! I have been contemplating carpeting that area (except the door vent). That just gives me the confidence that it will look good when I'm done!

Not much you can do with that. That is a stain caused by the tars contained in tobacco smoke. Permanently discolors plastics/leather/vinyl/fabric.

Yes, that i found out - so i'm looking for possible options as to what i might be able to do with the door, maybe if that handle exists, or easy potions of the panel than can be swapped from another door type perhaps? I'm not familiar with the door options so it's hard for me to know what's possible.

There are two different style door panels. Yours does not have the pockets at the bottom. The ones with the pockes also have a different door pull/grab handle. As for the availability of the handle/armrest itself, a quick internet search did not reveal any replacement part options. I'm sure there are some out there somewhere, though.

So are you saying that my door doesn't have any exchangeable options then? (from other door styles)

No No! You CAN replace the entire door panel with the other style (pocket at the bottom).

See post #158 in this thread by Black06xlt. Maybe you guys could strike a deal somehow?

You can get specialist spray paint for plastic - paint them black to match the other trim.

Installed.
Found a picture on ebay of what I think I wanted to do with the lower door car.  I guess the carpeted ones leave the vent part gray or the color of the panel.  I actually like how that looks better than the entire black that I did.  Oh well, too late now.

The panels look great installed, Nigel! The eBay pic is an example of what I plan to do to mine (probably in the spring). Nice work!

Bought a TPMS scan tool to figure out the reason for the intermittent flashing I'm getting from my tire pressure light.

Yeah, they look pretty neat - i had thought of painting the stained handle section on mine, but as it's the handle section, it's going to wear off in fairly short order :(

Is that section padded or hard plastic?  If it is hard plastic, you could cover it with carbon fiber vinyl.

Hmm, hard plastic, i wonder if a lighter colour might work a little better, though i'm 110% unsure of how wrapping in general should be done. :(

I have the same door panel. I love what Nigel did but my panel offers little in the way of detail to paint. I eventually want to add power windows as well so I'll likely wait for that.

Yeah i have to say i think this must be the most poverty option Ford ever offered, and lucky us, we got them ;)

I'll not be doing any upgrades to this, the whole truck is too basic, but i would love a nicer panel or portions of it if possible.
