Yesterday I hooked up the Schrader valve and pressure sending unit. Dont try this till I prove if it works or not this is an oil pressure sensor good for 120psi. Hoping it handles fuel.

Couldn't find one.

So I look today and there are like 1000 available.

But most of them say air/fuel/oil so I imagine it is compatible.

Temporary in cab fuel pressure gauge. And a volt meter attached to the output of the inertia switch.

When It starts sputtering and dying again I'll have the answer to why.

BUT I came across another problem. Today when I was testing the ground at the fuel rail I was getting unusual readings. So I flipped it on 200 ohms and sure enough like 170 ohms between the negative post and just about anything on the motor. Yikes I have a ground issue too, time to put a few extras on.

So I can't use the pressure sending unit till it is grounded. Darn.

I wonder if the "cutting out" was related to that.

All this work for experience, the motor is coming out and a 5.0 is going in. But I want to sell the 3.0 to someone, it generally runs great and has less than 140K. No mechanical problems at all.

My project for the day !

Find a piece of 1.5" aluminum round stock for my Projector Retrofit.

Yesterday I did the following:

------------------------------------------
My latest adventure... The Projector Headlights !

I started by making a few measurements of the housing.
Findings:
1) There isn't enough room in the housing to put the Projector in side !  Maybe 1/4" from the front of the lens but to me that is not enough.
2) The Bulb Opening, measures 1.345 ID !
3) The reflector portion of the headlights and the parking lights, they are chromed and I am not sure how to get the chrome off so I can paint them black.

I need to find a piece of aluminum round stock that measures 1.5", this will allow me to get it turned down to the 1.345"  of the bulb Opening (Port), so I can use my Jig to drill the mounting holes and to open up the housing for the project or to fit from the rear.

Find a machine shop to turn the aluminum down for me and put a center hole in the piece for a guide, sort of a datum hole, everything will be located from the center of the bulb opening.
Everything... I mean the four holes to mount the projectors and the larger opening to put the Projector through.

Now what was that temperature I needed to open up the housings ?  LoL !  what next !

Like the look... you geared up for the 35" tires ?

How's does the engine pull with the tier/rim combo you chose ?

I never liked the wide stance fenders but your front fender look good !

Question, "Why 15x12" rims, its more the width that gets me ?

I did the width because prerunners are usually wide. Plus I love the width. Gotta have the truck match the driver. Booootyyyy. haha
I have 4.10 in the diff right now. I'll go up when I swap to the 8.8 and do 4.88 most likely.
