Fiberglass and resin will allow the rebuild of a grill. I caught a few quail at 70mph on a back country road. I screwed up my grill and cracked the windshield. Windshield was covered by insurance and grill covered the deductible.

My next add-on will be a bull-guard.  Should finish off what I wanna do with the front til I get a winch. More deer up here than quail to worry about.  lol
I start on the back bumper tomorrow. ;)

New Motorcraft parking brake assembly because.....the $3 ABS plastic handle cracked + crumbled at it's weak point and broke off the $170 assembly. If you go to a P&S and/or a full service JY and look closely at and/or push on the handle a bit to test the plastic, most will be cracked (handle hasn't snapped off yet), or it will crack when you do the test or if not, it'll probably break in the not too distant future. Looks to be a classic example of plastic degradation due to environment. :/

Hooked up my scanner & took it for a short ride to check the ABS sensors & the reading on the r/s front looks a little slow to respond. I pulled the r/s front wheel & the caliper & caliper bracket & the brake rotor & removed the ABS sensor & checked it. Visually it looks ok, I ordered a new ABS sensor.

Hey Mike, how did you test the ABS sensors? My Advancetrack/stability control light is on but neither my scanner or my SCT tuner is finding a code.

I pulled the front ABS sensors out last weekend and they were visually okay.

I have a older 2.0 Genysis scanner by OTC. It has a section that gives me real time data. I hooked it up to the Ranger & took it for a ride & it gives me the real mph speed each ABS sensor is reading.

Just replaced the front discs and pads.

The old ones were pitted pretty bad and the inner side had a weird wear pattern due to the rust creeping into the braking surface and tearing up the pads.

Out with the old and in with the new.

EDIT: I also just threw on a new fuel filter. With 7 years 59,600 on it I figured it's due. I went with a Motorcraft replacement.

My SCT can do real time, but I don't think it has a setting for ABS sensors. Mainly engine components.

Spark plugs in the 2000 Ranger I just got. 80k and the plugs have never been changed. Gaps on the old plugs was over 100tho. Had to also change plug wires as the original were stuck solid to the old plugs. Had to rip them off.

Welcome Airjam. I noticed it was your first post.

That is common. The original plugs were supposed to be good for 100k. I changed them out at 90K and had 2 of the 6 over .100" and the rest in .085-.095" range. I also tore the boots on 3 of the wires so I changed out the wires as well. I used the recommended Ford plugs which were copper and they are only good for 30k. I have done the cheap copper plugs twice, it will be the Iridium next time.

At almost 60K, I've been contemplating changing my plugs, especially since the truck is 7+ years old. I've read a lot and some say Fords run better with X or worse with X. I think I'll end up with some Champions. I replaced the Mustang's 2-piece plugs with some Champion 1-pieces. Which at the time I think was only 1 of 2 options in the 1-piece design. They've worked amazingly so far.

On another note,

Today, I changed over to the performance tune and drove to Home Depot. Has a lot more balls than the Eco tune does. Shifts later and I'm sure it eats more fuel. Feels a lot nicer though. Eco tune sucks and I still only get 15.5mpg in town with it. Lets see what the performance does.

Bought a new miter saw for my upcoming flooring project.

Thanks. I bought the Autolite platium. $1.85 at Rockauto and Autolite has a rebate program. This is my 3rd Ranger.
1997   4.0L Standard Splash ...  Loved that truck and drove it for 15 years. Moved to FL from Canada and picked up a 1993 4 banger for a cheap price just to get me going for awhile.  Just got this 2000  3.0L XLT  Supercab with only 80K miles and going through it to make her run as best as possible.

I am 300 miles under 125K and I am starting to do some of the things it is going to need for the service. I got it off cycle with the maintenance 4 years ago when it went from poorly maintained occasional farm parts runner (2-3k miles per year) to my daily driver at 13k per year.

New Air Filter, cleaned air intake sensor, cleaned the IAC valve, rotated tires, and pressure washed the rear axle and wheels/calipers. I will be changing the 3rd member fluid sometime tis week. I picked up anti-friction goop this afternoon but the seal will be in tomorrow.

Installing a remote starter.  Adding it to my Avital keyless entry.  Install isn't bad.  Took a little time to find certain wires, but... while I was taking stuff out/apart I said I need to address the wire management...This is why everything looks like that...lol
It's actually a good thing.  No shoddiness here.  I'll post up a video/pics once it's done.  Hoping to get it completed today.  I spent about 7 hours yesterday cleaning stuff up and running wires for the remote start.  If you didn't know it would all look oem.

Back from the test drive. I was chirping the rear tire around corners like it used to do. I missed my LS.
