Do I have a deal for you.. If you've ever wanted to swap out to better brakes with more surface area for braking, you'll want to start here and know what you're getting too. It will also lend you an opportunity to do a BIG Brake kit if you have some fab skills or at least someone in your networking that can fab for you. See: Sport Trac 12-Inch Rotor Upgrade For 2WD Ford Ranger
I have a pair of 95-97 steering knuckles & caliper brackets I am willing to part with and willing to negotiate a good deal. My cut and turned beams are coming back with Dana44 knuckles so I cant use these now on my 4x4 frame swap.

This is what I started with / 95-97 Steering Knuckles

This is what you would be receiving / "Refreshed" 95-97 Steering Knuckles [NO, the snorkel kit isn't included, sorry]

Also Parts Included:

All New in boxes
- Timken inner/outer bearings
- National Seals

The lower/upper ball joints are the same as your 2WD from 93-97, 2WD Lower MOOG K8561T  , 2WD Upper MOOG K8560T which I am including the info for you.

You will need to get a set of 95-97 Dual-Piston Calipers to complete this. Had I went with the "Extra Mile" versions below, both of us would have spent money but I'd likely lose some more than you, the new owner would.

For the budget conscious
POWER STOP L4606A
POWER STOP L4607A

For those looking to go the extra mile
POWER STOP S4606A  x 2

You will have to accommodate your brake rotors to whether or not you have or DON'T have ABS - Rotor Options

I'm asking only for what I put into the knuckles which I hear are getting rare, and the media blasting.. considering I also pulled the parts and did all the running around, and I've already shopped and included quality bearings and seals for you too ($34 value), again my loss.

-- $215 +shipping is my asking price. Reasonable offers accepted.

I will find the least expensive means to ship them in the most reasonable time but best care possible.

I will ALSO press out old ball-joints to make it easier for you as well save some weight in shipping!

Anyone with a first gen that wants to install these has to use front beams from later years, correct? Somewhere around 91-94??

The powder coating was never finished I take it?

Also, just an fyi; one should never heat ball joints. That can be hazardous to your health.

Correct, 91+

I hadn't done the powder coat simply due to thoughts of color choices and early on decision to do the Dana44 knuckles which is a good thing I suppose due to the fact someone may not purchase them simply because they didn't like the color I chose.

And I am a bit lost by your third comment? I have a ball joint press, heating the ball-joints for removal purposes would not be prudent... and being on the West Coast sorta. Not really necessary since we don't have the issues the rust belt does.

Powder coating heats the parts considerably. That's what I was getting at.  To not leave the ball joints in place..

I see what you're saying. To be honest those ball joints would be sacrificed if there was no other way to block the powder coat from engaging the inside of the ball joint mating surface.

And at that point, someone would be a lil bit of a fool to not just throw in new ball-joints anyway since they're pulled out and ready to go already. That should be someone's mindset anyhow.

Ball joints can explode violently when subjected to heat. They can kill a man easily. I was just thinking that the powdercoating workers might not know about it, but since you're not having the powdercoat done, it's a non-issue.

Not sure whether I understand if thats a painfully learned anomaly or a contingent issue. Obviously no one can stand in the oven while powder coating dries... And with that, the powder coating oven is a gradual rise in temps both through the material itself as well as heat index.

Now someone taking a "torch" to a ball joint, I could certainly see where an intense heat buildup real fast as applied to a small area I could seriously see someone catching some automotive shrapnel to the forearm and pretty convincingly.

Good looking out but 380*-400* overall surface temp vs 1000+ like right now in a small concentrated area would greatly different aspects and each would bring about their own concerns for sure.

Ball joints can "go off" quite a while after being heated. Anyway, good luck with your sale.
