Not sure whether I understand if thats a painfully learned anomaly or a contingent issue. Obviously no one can stand in the oven while powder coating dries... And with that, the powder coating oven is a gradual rise in temps both through the material itself as well as heat index. Now someone taking a "torch" to a ball joint, I could certainly see where an intense heat buildup real fast as applied to a small area I could seriously see someone catching some automotive shrapnel to the forearm and pretty convincingly. Good looking out but 380*-400* overall surface temp vs 1000+ like right now in a small concentrated area would greatly different aspects and each would bring about their own concerns for sure.
