So a few months ago, we bought my wife a Hybrid, and while we liked it and appreciated the low cost of fuel, it just didn't really make sense to own since we had a loan on it, and we got offered more for it than we paid out the door. So we sold it.
But that left us with a problem, the wife still needed a vehicle to drive. So we went craigslist and facebook marketplace diving, and came across this:

2001 Chevy Blazer LT, has the full time 4wd option, leather, etc. It was in pretty good shape, not perfect, like anything these days, if you can afford it, it's because somebody had a problem on their hands they wanted to ditch. Engine and transmission are good, same with running gear, but all the vacuum lines are rotted out, and motor mounts are dead, the radio doesn't work, so I bought some parts and started working on it. It's still 110 degrees and 40+% humidity, so it sucks to do anything, but I've been plugging away most evenings after the kids go to bed for an hour or two.
We have a 2004 Chevy tahoe, so the kids call it "the mini Tahoe".
