it is when the abs kicks in on those that the problems occur, they just keep going, not stopping like you want. I would go try it, find some gravel in a safe area get up some speed and lock up the brakes on the gravel patch....see what you think when the abs kicks in If you don't like the way it feels you can disable it My wifes 07 FJ cruiser was similar,. the ABS kicks in ad you keep on going........like right through the intersection. They had two recalls to "reprogram the abs computer" and it still sucked so I cut a couple of wires and disabled the system. Been awesome since! I also blacked out all the brake and traction control lights in here instrument cluster that came on after this....... 250K miles later no ABS, regular brakes, works fine the S10 and S15 blazers where known for the crappy ABS go try it out form your own opinion
