 Ok, if we are showing our chevys.... heres mine

Technically it's an Australian Holden Commodore. One of 69 with these options and #38. LS3 with a 6sp manual🤪🤪🤪. It's still under warranty so its limited to 155mph but has the potential to do 185mph in stock configuration if you remove the limiter.





The ladies love it.


Its got a big booty too...

 There is a kit to put a LS in almost anything.

Neighbors 4.0 L spun a bearing in his 25ish old 4x4 Comanche a few years back. He now has a 5.3L LS  sitting in it. More power and better fuel mileage.  Plus it sounds awesome when he gets on it.

I had the opportunity to buy a 6.0L LS with auto trans and computer at a great price. I considered putting into the Stingray but talked myself out of it. I wish I had bought it as 6 months later there a 99 K-5 Blazer that is for sale with a blown motor for a cheap price not too far away.

 Sold the extended cab today. Made the deal, will transfer ownership some time next week. Seeing how much the guy appreciated it made me smile but it was sad otherwise. A lot of history with that truck.

 Replaced lower ball joints, put on drilled and slotted rotors with new pads and new brake fluid, new front hubs, fixed my vacuum leak for my AC controls, fixed my backup camera not working, rotated tires, and new ujoints in the rear drive shaft. Productive day. need to do an oil change, and the upper ball joints, but I just ran out of day, and it's gotten to be 97 degrees today, and it's only going to get hotter, so walmart will do my oil change next week, and I'll wait to do the upper ball joints for a few months.

I posted in the thread about it, in case anybody was looking, wanted the solution with the question. I drove so little last year, I just didn't really put effort into fixing it. But I have put more miles on my truck since February than I did the previous two years that I decided to actually fix it.

 I fabbed up a battery box tray. The original had rusted and is not on the RockAuto parts list. I now have a carbon fiber tray. It is currently curing. I still need to reinforce the mounting and tie down points. 
My carbon fiber work is functional and usually not the pretty carbon fiber parts you see in catalogs. I patched Satellite dishes that were carbon fiber that got shot up in Iraq and Afghanistan back in the day.  A satellite dish makes a great target. A bullet hole only looks bad and 50 to 100 holes in a 2m-6m dish degrade it less than 1% but it looks like crap. I would patch the holes and prep the dish for a re-paint and paint it to make it look good again. On the backside all of the patches could be seen. Warriors have battle scars.

 Battery box is functional and not anywhere close to my best work. No pics of ugly work. 

I did get my ladder rack mounts reinstalled this evening.  It wasn't quite plug and play. When I replaced the bed bolts the replacement bolts are larger than stock. The only decent metal bit I have larger than a half inch is a 5/8" and the Ryobi 18v drill is not the ideal drill for this bit (I wore out a high end Hilti punching those holes). I now have a big opening for the 14mm bolt (guessing on the size). It is all locked back down. I have to put the truck to work sometime this week. I have some stuff to haul.

 Today I transferred the plates off the one I sold to my silver one. I go out to take it for a spin, door didn't unlock with the fob. Opened door with key, darkness. Battery completely dead. I must have left something on because it has been a one cranker since I've owned it.

So I took one of my other cars to the store. Get home and decided to switch batteries with the junk ranger I dragged home last weekend. It was the correct size, the one in the silver one was so small the hold down wouldn't.... hold down.

Switched battery, put positive cable on, when I tightened it.... snap. I have never broke a terminal on a ranger. As small and wimpy as they are I have never snapped one.

 I rigged it till my audio terminals come in.

Those ranger bands are an integral part of the crimped end, not much you can do with them. It's kinda funny what I came up with I'll snap a pic and post it.

 I filled up the Ranger this morning. The last time I put gas in it was just over 3 weeks ago just after the pipeline shutdown.  All city driving less than 6 miles for any trip and running the AC half the time. I put 10.2 gallons in for 203 miles. FYI, it had only 2 or 3 days where I didn't dive it the past 3 weeks.

 Yesterday I swapped a door from a 99 to a 2000. The connector is in a different place so I had to do some crimping. Overall I got a door with no rust and 2 small dents instead of 2 huge dents and a rusty seams. It doesn't have a pinstripe though :(

After 6 attempts it is adjusted properly.
