Bonza ;) :pat

I'd guess new pump too, though mine *is* a new pump, so just looking for ways to quieten it down (tips/tricks etc.) as i've tried most methods.

Cameron bought a new pump for his at AutoZone. Started making a noise a few months after he replaced it. Just a bad design, if you ask me.

Ford don't do the 'refinement in design' technique, if it "works" then that's usually enough, that might have changed in more recent years.

Exactly that' why years ago we used to joke around and say that if the 5.0L was built to current Asian engine specs & tolerances it would be so bound up it would be near impossible for it to turnover let alone rotate the internals.

Of course that' a bit facetious but it was the point of being descriptive about the smooth sewing machine feeling..

No, but it was close. The power washer was put away, the bucket emptied and rinsed out, the hose disconnected and drained... the only thing left was to roll the hose up and stash it away. I took the bug sponge and got it dripping wet and took care of the crap. The bird's buddies probably came back later to drop some more bombs! LOL

Thanked the mailman for delivering my sway-bar bushings & camber kit to complete my front-end rebuild list.
Now all that's left is to actually install it all!

Well, with a little one coming into the world almost any day now, you don't want to have your truck out of commission! :)

Very true. There's waayyy too much going on around here from now through Christmas.....that's why I said the next weekend.
Surely the kid ought to be here by then!

Also true. ;)

It's not like the truck is shaking and the wheels are about to fall off.
It's just part of the "new vehicle syndrome".  I like to get the potential problems dealt with as soon as I can when I get a new ride.
That's like the noisy P/S pump and the accel/stopping clunk from the rear which I understand to be endemic to our trucks.
I'll probably do the drain the pump & re-fill w/Lucas P/S stuff this week and re-inspect the slip yoke when we do the front.
