I had a duh moment on the 98 to 00 grills, didn't notice till a couple days ago the 2wd and 4wd grills are different. The vertical bars on the 4wd are outward and the horizontal inward, opposite for the 2wd where the verts are inward and the horizontal is outward. First glance they look the same but they are different.

Interesting, must be part of the making them look more 'impressive' - like the bonnet humps etc.

Topped off the AC this AM.
Air seem colder, not sure if it is my imagination or reality.
Will know if it worked if I take a drive today.

Have to check the Honey-Do List and get the new AR back together first !

I drove the red one tonight. Smooth as silk, a couple rangerish problems but all is good.

Hmm, i probably shouldn't mention that embarrassingly, i haven't washed mine once in a year, i mean, it got sprayed with the hose a few times, but that's it.

Long overdue, i might get round to all that kind of thing soon though, settling in slowly.

I asked the blue truck owners, they did not know the brand of push bar, only it was purchased in Seattle LOL

Glad to hear the red truck is running around!

The bedliner bumper looks clean to me! I live in the dirt

Helping our neighbor bring home his new toy, 1988 Samurai on Camso UTV tracks. 1.3L of power! Who knew a Sami weighs 2060#!!!! That's less then my Polaris Ranger crew!!!
Samurai is getting a tune up and look over in prep for commuting, this thing is used to get neighbors to and from their property. We are putting some ranger seats in it, going to Mostaliner the body, build some bumpers, rock bars and lighten the whole rig as much as possible. Track and track kit are brand new and still need some fabrication. Good thing its in the shop!
So much want!!

I've seen a few  samurais  In my time that have done rotary swaps that are just wicked fast cause of the weight to hp ratio  , I mean fast fast  😈 I'd swap that bad boy with one take it straight to some snow or sand

Rotary hmmmm glad you said that! I'll check into it I like the weight of the wankle design
This Sami will never see anything but a private toad and likely be in low range it's whole life. Used to commute from the gate to the house about 3 miles up a serious road
They are into carb setups around here I keep talking 1.6l overhead cam efi conversions lol

Thanks for following up with the bull bars, not to worry, maybe i'll just get one of those light bars with the skid plates if i can find one that doesn't cover my license plate with the lights i have.

How about the one I put on my Ranger, it is made by Westin & is called a safari bull bar. Here is a link to where I purchased it. You also have to get the mounting kit sold separately.

https://www.amazon.com/Westin-30-0005-Light-Bar-Black/dp/B000182FG8
https://www.amazon.com/Westin-30-1055-Light-Bar-Mount/dp/B0001EWH1U/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1533408809&sr=1-1&keywords=30-1055

If you are interested in the one I put on my Ranger here is a link to the Westin application page.
https://www.westinautomotive.com/application-chart/safari-bull-bar

It was a bolt on application using all existing holes in the frame. I did have to remove the factory front skid plate which is only a stamped sheet metal panel.

It's funny, that's the one i was looking at - i see the tabs now and it's good to see yours for the license plate setup.

Ironically, your grille mounted spot lights are still what i want to copy, but the time and technical mounting of my 2, 7 inch bars, is holding me back.

I used this "how to" from that other site for the lights behind the grille.

Rotary powered Samurai on tracks would be a epic build. You could go carbed . Many different style manifolds . They have 4 barrel single carb Holley style manifolds to running dual vdub style Webber's . My dream build is a 3-4 rotor na build with itb's efi ,redlining at 10k plus ... someday ,once I'm tired of playin with turbos

How much does a typical mazda B engine weigh? (I say B engine because that is about all I remember from my RX7 tinkering days in the 80's) The rxy engin has two rotary clovers does it not? 6 spark plugs? 6 combustion chambers or 3?

Right now we are just fabricating some bracket to finish up the camso (camoplast changed their name) track install
Now that my neighbor scored this rig it makes me really want a samurai!! (Like I need another project!)

I put a 3 light led light bar under my tailgate. Now this goes against everything I stand for but the light bar is from chevy Silverado 3500 hd. It's a factory part but it was made by trucklite so I made an exception. Please dont ban me from the site for the use of a gm part

I put a thermostat housing back on with fresh gasket and 2 new screws.

Then I saw the under tailgate LED's posted.

The PO of the truck I'm working on goes against everything that is anyone evidently. And this is a steppie short tailgate.

Way excessive IMO. The blue under the dash is somewhat overwhelming too, comes on with the radio.

Do the lights blink to the beat of the music?

I like the rear look of that Steppie, if I were to put rear lighting I think it would be one of the LED Strips that is only a Brake Light, except for three to four flashes before the solid brake light.

I don't think BLINKING to the MUSIC, would be the way to go but as a Fourth rake Light I guess it would work.

But the Chevy thing, has to go ! LoL, if it works use it !

Welcome back ranger danger :)

I got the tags renewed on mine.  It's mainly sitting right now, but it's in desperate need of a bath :(
