It's gotta be the light/angle, but that looks like a piece of translucent plastic!

It's stainless and is polished. It looks like that all the time no matter how dirty the truck is it just doesn't seem to get dirty. Guy must have never went off road with it no scratches at all.

I didn't do anything to mine but drive a half tank of gas out going back and forth to the kids school and work. Drove a LOT today.

I took a ride out to my local polling place and voted against some career politicians that have become millionaires in office.

Georgia has the best politicians money can buy - this needs to be changed.

Took the wife out for ice cream. She doesn't necessarily like rangers but it is the first car of mine I have owned in over 6 years that she will ride in.

She wants me to finally do the grab handle mod and possibly step bars.

I have the a-pillar trim for the passenger side with grab handle. I'll check on the handle

"Baby stuff" is much more important than Ranger stuff any day nobody will argue :)

Found the original grab handle pics from my 98 I posted on another forum somewhere.

That is why I added the grab handles & the factory step bars, & also to help my old butt get into my Ranger also.

Did front brakes.  Had a really bad shake at around 40mph when braking down to zero... Figured the front rotors were warped.  I believe one was.  The brake pads were fine but, decided to go with Akebono since I have them on all of our vehicles.  Also did wheel bearings and seals since I was there.  No more shake.  I guess this will last another 2-3 years like the last one.  I've never seen a vehicle go through rotors like the ranger does... crazy..lol

Also had the rear view mirror come off... how fun.  I bought the permatex rear view mirror kit which held the mirror for all of 2 minutes before adjusting it and it snapping off.  Ended up using some 3m windo weld.  That stuff is beyond awesome.  Every time I have used it nothing ever comes loose after using it.  It will be my go to stuff if I ever need stuff stuck permanently.  Picture is after the mirror fell...lol

NewShockerGuy, what type of rotors are you putting on your truck? I got 110k with the OEM but put Bendix on and I don't expect to change them out before 200k.

Not the cheap ones that's for sure, or at least to me for a ranger.  I get the Raybestos 66597, they are also painted/coated black so they don't rust.  I have always gone with Raybestos because for the most part I've never had problems... but I'm half tempted if these warp again to try a different brand but who knows.  I never get the cheap brands with things.  Everything I've read they are all made in china anyways so it makes me wonder if it's worth.  Rock Auto has these for about $58..with shipping comes out to be about 65 each.  Perhaps the $20 ones might give the same result..lol

Got her back from the dealer with some fancy new airbags. Has anyone else replaced their factory fog lights with LED pods and tied them to the factory wiring? Every once in a while they will start flashing like crazy and I don't know what is causing it...
