well I have just under 3/4 quarters of a tank of gas although my truck has been sitting for quite awhile and the gas wasn't something I thought about until the trucks engine was almost back together. It is running lean and that might have something to do with it

I made a run to the local JY & the place was cleaned out, so I had to take a 25 min drive to the other pick n' pull yard I know of. Almost struck out, I was looking for a console cubbie for my wife's 99 Explorer Sport, strike one only newer Explorer's, seat for my truck, strike two only gray interior was already gutted, hit found a good day/night mirror.

It's getting harder to much of anything for our trucks. It's either picked clean like in your case or it's there but broken up or in too bad of shape to justify getting it

@Mike: you talking about the cubby next to the dash?  Full length console?

Do you need the whole thing, or just the insert?  I don't see anything wrong with yours?

I've actually got one in the garage.

We need to start a section where we post our spare parts LOL.

I need the whole piece. A couple of the tabs that lock it to the console body are broken & the insert is cracked. The PO must have been rough on it.

I have one as well.  I will have to check the tabs to ensure it is good.  The one in my truck right now has a "homemade" tab that I super glued on it.  I wrapped it in carbon fiber vinyl and promptly dropped it on the floor, breaking off a tab.  Super Glue, FTW!! :-)

That actually isn't a bad idea.  Some parts can be hard to come by in certain regions, but be plentiful in others.  I've got a mish-mash of Explorer and Ranger parts.

Cool!  Well, if something doesn't work out, I will check mine to ensure the tabs are there and send it to him.  Now, about that spare parts database...  ;-)

The spare parts trading post is a good idea! I've got a shorty center console, stock shackles, and some expo roof rack rails just chilling in my garage haha.

Hey, I like the term "Trading Post"!  Jim could set up a forum section where you can post your list of parts for sale and allow for parts swapping as well.  Would have to allow editing by the list owner to modify his list over time (regular posts can only be edited for something like 24 hours).

I finally put the 06+ mirrors on my truck. Along with the new rear axle. Rear Shocks are mounted/bolted in and the new rear disc brakes are functioning. I absolutely love driving it now more than ever. Definitely way overdue and best idea I have done to this truck in a long time.. I am driving it to work everyday now again to break the new gears in.

Oh yes.. I have missed driving it. The looks, the head turns, the whistles of random guys. It definitely has been missed.. What can I say? I like being center of attention haha. :-)

Well.. Maybe. Who knows..
Most of the time you cannot even see me.. I am 5'2" so..
My head is almost below my mirrors.. Once I get that extra 2" I think I will be under it. :-)

I got 3/4 the way through a front brake job, the 5% rain forecast turned into a 100% downpour. The noise was the passenger inner pad that lost the leading half of the pad. There was about 3/8" left on the back half which was about what was on the other 3 pads. I took the rotors in to be turned and there was too much damage to save the rotor.  I have new Bosch pads from Rock Auto - the spring clips supplied do not fit a Ranger so I cleaned and reused the old ones. New O'Rieley brand Chinese rotors, bearings, bearing seal, and 2 cans of brake cleaner to the tune of $180.  The rotors are finished nicer than the Power Stop package I put on 35k ago. We will see.

I got the passenger side complete and the rotor buttoned up on the driver side when the rain came. I will finish it tomorrow when it is dry and cooler.

Nice write-up, Kaylee.  Yeah, the Expo rear end swap isn't for the faint of heart!  Glad you got it together and back on the road! :-)

It is absolutely a dream to drive now! Wish you guys could see the difference!

From only being able to be in 4th and driving 60mph at almost 3500 rpm. It was struggling. Shaking. And drum brakes were horrible...

To now I can go 70 with 2700 rpm and it is COMFORTABLE! No struggle. No shake. Nothing.. Perfect.

PLUS
 disc brakes! woooh

Got the 33s swapped over yesterday, still need an alignment but most of the shops around here are closing the same time I'm off work so it's a little difficult but I'll get it done soon and then give the truck a bath. I have a few robins in the back yard that really need to go!
