Finding a "new" bed is generally a much easier solution in this case. My 2001 had the same problem. The drivers side front mount was toast. By the time I cut everything back to good metal to fabricate and weld in a new mount, it would have been a TON of work.

I found myself another bed that was in a little better shape for $200

Craigslist, u-pull-it, pull-a-part, pick-a-part, and a local search for salvage yards are all good options here.

GB :)

What color is it and what is his budget? EDITED

Short or long?

Steppy or regular?

Need a tail gate?

Funny how when you don't want something they are everywhere But want one and Wham-Bam there gone !

I was going to suggest a Steppy Bed, always seems to be one or two in Crag's List most of the time, but in your area... another thing !

Front and Rear Bumpers by Custom 4x4 Fabrication, OK; now Mike's Welding and Fabrication.
Working on more Mods, just need more time, longer days would work !

I think its a short regular bed. I will double check. The color is light silver No tail gate required.
