When I attempted the Explorer Leather Seat install in my 2003 Std Cab, short bed, I found the Ex Seats fit but the rear mounting bolts needed a little mod... !
Before I went any further I sat in the seats and found them to be too big for Truck; leg room and the height weren't right, I'm 6 foot 2, long legs and need every bit of space I had !
I removed them and lucked out, found some FX4 seats that I swapped for and found a Black Console to boot.
The FX4 Seat would work but they came out of an Ext Cab and the Seat Tracks were a little too long, i.e. Explorer Seats, so all I had to do is unbolt my Std Cab Tracks from my 60/40 Seat and the tracks bolted directly on the FX4 Seats... they were a direct bolted in after that.
This may not help much but what I am trying to say is the Tracks unbolt and swap with other Ranger Tracks, but I never found that they would swap with an explorer Seat... the power gets in the way !
