I had a set of the these kind on a modified 68 Mustang GT Coupe back in the 80's & they worked great for traction, & I never broke any U bolts. https://www.cjponyparts.com/scott-drake-traction-bar-pair-1967-1970/p/TMB2/
I too had something similar on my '88 Ranger and my '03 has this style too, I had plenty of Mustangs, they had the under axle type.

If there is minimal blacks added to the lift, the type Mike69 posted will work fine, and they aren't too hard to make or buy at a reasonable price.

Just use a Traction Bar, that's the main thing.

I'd like to know how much the axle moves backwards relative to the upward movement.
It would take some clever math and depends on the arch of spring.

Also these are interesting. The triangulation combined to a shackle in front would allow the axle to go up and down, and move back and forth during travel (shackle moves back and forth) but not twist (two bars exert opposite forces on shackle)

Ruff Stuff Fab Parts are nice stuff, not too expensive and rugged.

Triangulated upper arms are a nice package, can work with Leaf Springs but you need to add the cross member as an attaching point.

If you are going there, a four link system with Coil-Over Shock would be nice too but we are closing in on 4 or 5 K $.

If the Ranger in question is keeping the Leaf Springs, then a single bar off centered would work, with a cross member.
If the Leafs are being replaced ten all bets are off.

Also, keeping the Leaf Springs and adding Traction Bars over the Spring Pads is the simplest, least expensive and it works in most situations... AND it should eliminate the Axle Wrap and stop or at least reduce the bounce.

Ranger_Danger,

Where do you stand on this, are you going four link, Coil Overs or sticking to Leaf Springs and Traction Bars like the Duff Units ?
