I'd like to know how much the axle moves backwards relative to the upward movement.
It would take some clever math and depends on the arch of spring.

Also these are interesting. The triangulation combined to a shackle in front would allow the axle to go up and down, and move back and forth during travel (shackle moves back and forth) but not twist (two bars exert opposite forces on shackle)
