They may fit some aluminum heads without modification but not all. Both of my aluminum AFR heads needed a little mill time to provide clearance for the collector on the PS and for the flanged joint in the #5 primary on the DS.

Can't say they don't look good but too much piping !

I have TtickFlow Aluminum Street Heads, and I believe they will not work with them.

Good to hear from you Bob !

Too much piping LOL
Thats true but its required to make 420 hp and have headers that fit the Gen II 4x4 engine bay

Thanks Scrambler82 you are correct, I had forgotten until I saw your picture. I too had to grind the TMH headers in the exact same locations to clear our ATK engine and its aluminum heads...

The picture is not mind, just a repost.
It is the engine bay and posted by V8 Level II !
Bob has done a lot of work to his LvL II, V* and TM Header included.
If you haven't looked up his tuck you should check it out.

One of the sweetest Rangers, period !

He also, has an upgrade in the works, not sure when it will arrive but if and when it does it will be a killer rig, if it isn't already !

I wish I lived closer to Ranger People that are doing Mods to their trucks, I need to get things done and I am slipping more and more into the Procrastination Mode.

I have come across his truck on the interwebz a few times you could say

You live in CA there are Ranger people all over....they may not be as cool as us but you can always move! HAHAHAHA I did!

I get my inspiration from the web, all this truck talk gets my truck juices flowing!!

I get ideas and the kick in the pant to do things to the truck from the Web also.
A good shop where you can go and talk about Mods and how to get around the emission thing would be good.

I cant get you around emissions, but I can do emissions legal conversions for CA :)
I heard Trump is gonna give CA to China and take that wall North so it may be a good time to re locate to a non emissions state LMFAO!!!!
My shop has a woodstove and chairs, I love to talk trucks! You just have to come up way North

Thanks for that !

My problem  is, as it stands now, I have a 5.0LW, built on a '93 spec., I think I need a newer motor than the truck... need a way to hide what it is... maybe program the engine computer to think it is a 3.0L, LoL !

Ok on CA being walled off, all I need is the government to buy my house for a good deal more than I paid for it and I will out of here !
I'm getting tired of the high cost of living !

I am contacting Robert today about picking up a new set of TMH for upcoming project. It has been a LONG time since I spoke with Robert I am looking forward to this!!

I did have to mill the headers in the exact same way as the post above when we fitted them to our ATK engine with aluminum heads. I had forgotten about that! Thanks V8 Level II

I've read a lot of good things about these headers and the guy that makes them. It can take a little time to get them because the ranger V8 swap is a very small niche. It's nice to have a supplier who caters to rangers even if they are a minority.

The TMs are not an option on 94-older Rangers because the engine bay is even more cramped than the 95-97 era due to the AC box. I wanted to work with Robert on making something that'd work for the 94-older era back in 2005, but once I actually got my engine in and running, it was just obvious there are no other options without sacrificing the AC box.

This is not true

I have a 1988 Bronco II with a 97.5 gt40p explorer drivetrain, the first set of TMH, ttb truck conversion headers and AC
My BII was the guinea pig back in 2005 for Robert to create the ttb friendly version......I kept AC

I have also built a 84 Ranger with Torque Monster TMH conversion headers using a ATK 302 crate engine with aluminum heads
Both trucks have ac, cruise control and the torque monster headers.
No body lift on my BII, 1" body lift on the ranger
The heater box is notched to clear the header/valve cover...but AC can be retained.............and TMH does make a TTB truck header

Just reading back over this thread and noticed this

dual batteries, cruise, AC intake spacer, all stuffed in a 84 ranger with radiator tuck using 4.0 ohv all aluminum rad, ac condenser and aux trans cooler, custom shroud and mechanical clutch/ explorer cooling fan

There is also a intake spacer sold by the manufacturer of TM headers. Is this to increase performance or fitment?

intake spacer I run on all of our 5.0 projects, they have them up to 1"
For the explorer intake you will need to get 4 more of the long bolts, the gt40 intake spacer kit only comes with bolts for the mustang intake (if you order from summit and the like)

I have a 5/8" on my bii, we used a full 1" on the 84 ranger and it still fit the intake under the hood and 1/2" from firewall

The intake spacer lengthens the intake runners, not very much but it does. this helps make the torque down low where you need it in these trucks.
The big benefit of the spacer is to separate the upper intake from the engine so the incoming air charge stays cooler, longer. Cooler air in combustion chamber = free horsepower

I suspected it would be a performance improver but I wasnt sure if its main purpose was to aid in the 5.0 swap or fitment of the Torque Monster headers. Thank you.

He's a good guy, you should see if we can give like a 5% discount or free shipping or something selling them from this site.

Right...

I have pointed him here, I have a build coming up that will be posted up here. Right now I am playing catch up on my own projects to clear my schedule. I got a discount because I helped promote his conversion headers back in 05....Robert is awesome what he went through to bring CA certified headers to the market for us RBV guys is worthy of our recognition!

The absolute best header for our specific applications ever made. The OBX knockoffs have a lot of issues and don't cost a lot less.

Hi, I ordered a set of Torque Monsters through the website for my 2000 explorer. How long does it take to get them. I can't seem to get a response from email or leaving a voicemail on the phone number listed. Thank you for any help!

Hi Chris, welcome to F-R! Give it another day, if you have not heard from them there may or may not be some members here that have resources to contact them. :-)

TM is a small operation and these are strange times. Chances are they make these things "on demand". Like I said give it a day or so and don't worry, their products reputation is unparalleled.

It can take 2-4 weeks to get your TMH
I spoke with Robert or TMH late last month and all was well they are taking orders and shipping!
I would expect to hear back from him pretty soon

Awesome, thanks for the prompt replies. Im just glad he REALLY is back at it. I have heard for years how you would only find them used. I have been waiting to put the 5.0 drivetrain from my 2000 explorer eddie bauer awd into my 2001 sport trac. I will be swapping the awd transfer case for the 4hi/lo selectable from a f150. Thanks again🤝

Just an update.... Bob called me last night. He is working along as time permits. He said he has had some small issues from his supplier and has had to make those parts himself. I should be getting my set in about 4-6 weeks, he has 4 sets in front of mine. Glad he is back to making them. Thank you all!🤝
