intake spacer I run on all of our 5.0 projects, they have them up to 1" For the explorer intake you will need to get 4 more of the long bolts, the gt40 intake spacer kit only comes with bolts for the mustang intake (if you order from summit and the like) I have a 5/8" on my bii, we used a full 1" on the 84 ranger and it still fit the intake under the hood and 1/2" from firewall The intake spacer lengthens the intake runners, not very much but it does. this helps make the torque down low where you need it in these trucks. The big benefit of the spacer is to separate the upper intake from the engine so the incoming air charge stays cooler, longer. Cooler air in combustion chamber = free horsepower Last edited on Mon Jul 15th, 2019 07:07 pm by 410customs ____________________ I build custom RBV, specializing in drivetrain conversions, wiring, suspension and complete custom trucks |
