Do you know the wheel offset for your wheels? Are they gonna be flush with the fender or stick out a little?

I dont have the pinouts.. but is the transmission plug plugged in? Without the safety neutral switch hooked up..it won't turn over..

They are the ones for the 94-01 mustangs I believe. They won't stick past, if anything flush.  The fronts I have to use a 1 inch spacer. I bought a hub centric bolt on. Probably can get away with a 3/4 spacer..but I dont know if they make one that is hub centric and bolts on. Rears does not use any spacers on a ranger rearend.

 These are the wheel specs..

Size: 17x9

Offset: +26mm
Backspacing: 6.02
Lug Pattern: 5x114.3
Weight: 26 lbs

Size: 17x10.5
Offset: +27mm
Backspacing: 6.83
Lug Pattern: 5x114.3
Weight: 26 lbs

So took the transmission back out.  I have an adjustable pivot ball studd and figured I'd adjust it to max to try to get the clutch release more in the middle of the peddle..
Basically I left an 1/8th inch gap between the clutch fork and the pressure plate.  I was able to screw the pivot ball out about another 1/8--3/16th of an inch. I know, thats not much.. but it moved the end of the clutch fork about  3/8 of an inch. That gives me that much more peddle.. I just got thw trans back in.. fire it up tomorrow and see if it helped

you have to pull the trans back every time you want to adjust this?
Did the header get fixed / installed?

"HOPEFULLY" the last time I have to pull it J. Only did this because I have an adjustable pivot ball .  The guy I bought  the transmission from switched to a c4 for  his mustang.. and he  had it adjusted to his liking.  I haven't fired it back up yet to see if all this headach was worth it or..if it even changed anything..

What I'm trying to  look up is..if you move something a 1/4 inch out, what if anything does that do to the end of the clutch fork as far as giving more throw..

My  setup, 99 F550 master and 280z slave cyl is what a lot of people use and say it works good. You use the stock ranger push rod on the master cyl.

I found this while digging around...

I did get the header fixed.. what a merry goround that was..lmao

So my black widow venum 250 mufflers on backorder. Soooo.. I picked up these for the time being..I know, its going to be stupid obnoxiously loud, kinda Iike one of my Harleys with 1 3/4 inch open drag pipes..☕😎
3 inch SLP' loudmouth.  Coming off the headers with 2 1/2.. then was the crossover is made  from the driver side over to the passenger side, because of the gas tank, then into a 3 inch X pipe and 3 inch all the way to the back bumper.

Well chit.  I loaded a "start up" up tune into the computer tonight. It DEFINITELY  idled better and no gas fumes. Now.. it won't start! Smells like gas fumes... which tells me it lost fire somehow. I even put the stock tune back on it.. still no fire.... it got ro cold out there in the garage tonight.  Update later with waht I find out

Short video of start up on "start up" tune.
I'll run this for now, put a little miles on the truck make sure all systems are go for the dyno tune. RPM's are limited to 4500 in the tune so it doesn't lean out on the top end and I grenade the engine

Yeah J . Clutch is working great now. Goes right into reverse with no grinding or clucking.. seem to have more room coming off of the floor now for engagement.  I "" assume" the previous owner of the transmission must have had that pivot ball adjusted to his setup.. but it works great now!

Is that link to headlights and side markers?  Yes..I need new ones..lol

Ok.. so here is where we're at at this point. .

(1) Power steering hose
(highpressure) is leaking  on top . The metal part that goes in the center the nut, that screws into the pump is leaking. I felt that is was going to when I tightened it down..  the nut is tight was you can still wiggle the hose. Fix that if possible or order a new one.

(2) Still having small issue out of the hydraulic  clutch. Ill address that. Still need to center the adjustable clutch rod coming out of the slave to center it up on the clutch fork, space out the slave cyl. or re-drill the bracket . Bleed the system good and proper. Im very confident in this system the way I have it. No worries from me here.

(3) Suspension.
Still have to put the suspension on. But that is no problem or issue. Just has to be done.

(4) Driveshaft.
When I lower the tuck it looks like I'll need to have the shaft cut about an inch. Seems to be the normal on these trucks.  Right now its a stock stock reg cab 4 cly 5speed driveshaft.

That is it really. While it doesn't seem like much, its still quite a bit of work.

After I got back here from the exhaust shop, I let it idle finally and bleed out the coolant system for the first time. I thought I had got a 195* thermostat.  When the truck reaches 190* like clockwork, thermostat opens and it cools down to 180-182 ish.
So the coolant system is working.  At least for now. Wait till summer time and see what  happens.

I need to put some wire loom on, move a few wires , make my clutch reservoir  holder.  Basically organize and tidy up the engine bay a little.

Awesome progress, for the record mine was a 2000 single cab born with a 4 cyl but an automatic... when I put the 4r70w auto behind a 5.0 the old driveshaft was the correct length of course I had to change the front yoke but that was all. Funny the standard transmission was the correct length also.

Cleaning 2 years worth of dust of the truck, mounted my daily driver shifter..
The little shifter  sitting there will stay
in the truck at all times. Take out 2 Allen head screws.. its game time! ☕🎬🏁

Anyone know where I can get the leather wrap on the steering wheel?  Or...a new steering wheel that is leather wrapped..
