It will be a 5.0L with aBBK Cross Ram Intake.

I will be needing a rectangle not a trapezoid !

Thanks for the reply though, I guess I'm out then.

Thanks

BUT... I made  decision last night, that one and I am ahead of the game !

I will get back to you after my engine is in place.

I just hired another guy for CNC work, I should be catching up in a couple weeks and can run some samples.

The F-R logo would be SO MUCH EASIER to put on one because of the size end mill I can use. I just need to play around.

I have a compressor wheel outline that looks REALLY COOL if anyone ever turbocharges one. I can whip up turbos from parts laying around where I work but the plumbing and tune is what kills it.

One of the other managers turbocharged his 3.8 v6 mustang a few years back it was every bit as powerful as a stock V8 maybe a little better. He had to put the battery in the trunk and the turbo where the battery was.

Update:

My casting guy got back with me, says if I give him a plate with 3 degree angles on the lettering he will cast it for me, one as a prototype then a run of 25.

I don't know what it is going to cost but I am not looking to make a huge profit I just want to provide the community with something nobody else has.

I have ordered a half dozen 3 degree taper end mills to run the letters. I'll post pics of the mold blank as I'm cutting it.

Ranger will be first. Due to his "setup" any time I come up with a new plate it is the same mold, I could run 25 different plates in a run of 25 for the same price.

OK got my tooling in today for this project and some stock.

Made a quick decision, I think it would be better to start with a real plate instead of recreating that part for the mold.

Mines already painted and I will sacrifice it if I need to but does anyone have one laying around they could send me? I will machine a pocket in it so I can swap out lettering for different style plates.

I ended up taking the one off my V8 today, worked on the toolpath from what I learned on the keyfob LOL.

Getting close now I bet I have the first prototype in a couple weeks which can be the pattern for the mold. Or if it doesn't take forever maybe I can make them billet.

Like all my projects taking forever.

I will purchase at LEAST two "ranger" plates as soon as they are available

I'll see if I can get lucky and get some machine time. I can make 3 from the stock I have.

I got inspired by this thread and designed another for me personally with a rather large version of the FR logo. I STILL have enough stock for 3, I still have the tooling I bought, I just need a few ounces of ambition.
