 Will Synchronizers do it, just maybe she forced the truck into first gear, damaging the Synchronizer, which in turn doesn't allow smooth shifts into first.

If she attempted to down shift into first to slow the truck down, MAYBE !

Thinking out loud here !

Can you get the trans to shift into first if you rev up the engine ?

 Scrambler82, I will be using the truck this weekend and will see what revving the engine does for 1st gear. My guess is you are thinking along the lines of syncro is damaged and the extra rpm will help the action.

 Everything is working fine now. Nothing I did. I think it was her forcing the shifts and it didn't like it. Gotta teach that girl to be patient with it.

 That's weird...

Only had time to drive mine lately, i tired a few things with the change, the clutch etc. Only rolling let's it go straight in with no effort. Same for second gear actually, as i obviously try that when i can't get first when the lights change to green :(
