So I need to fix my four wheel drive and cruise control don't have a lot of money so I'm trying to fix the problem by myself any suggestions?

Welcome.

Regarding cruise control...you might check to see if yours has been in for the saftey recall of the  TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH. Not sure if that's your problem or if it's even related to it but it's a part of the cruise  control.

The switch that was activated by the brake to deactivate the cruise control. They always had power even with the truck turned off where they  would overheat and catch fire. There was a backlog and the Ford dealerships would disconnect the cruise control until the new modules became available. My 99 Lariat went in and they disconnected the plug and it took 9 months for my dealership to get in the part. I plugged mine back in and just parked it outside.

I wasn't aware anything but the F-150 was affected.

Oh, so you're talking about the brake switch on the master cylinder.  Ford's answer to that was the gawd-awful harness thingy that they plugged in to "fix" the problem.
