They always had power even with the truck turned off where they would overheat and catch fire. There was a backlog and the Ford dealerships would disconnect the cruise control until the new modules became available. My 99 Lariat went in and they disconnected the plug and it took 9 months for my dealership to get in the part. I plugged mine back in and just parked it outside. I wasn't aware anything but the F-150 was affected.
