Regarding cruise control...you might check to see if yours has been in for the saftey recall of the [font="Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif] TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH. Not sure if that's your problem or if it's even related to it but it's a part of the cruise control.
