I ordered a new bearing today. Tomorrow when I go to work I'm getting an axle shaft lower control arm and a knuckle. To top it off when I called for a tow truck I told to send a roll back cuz the right front wheel came off  what do they send a tow truck. The tow driver gets there looks at me says I dont think I can haul that with the wheel off my exact words were NO   SHERLOCK. Keep in mind this was 530am 700am rolls around he finally shows back up with a roll back. When me and my wife went to the parts store to get the bearing when they didnt have it I bought a for sale sign. My wife asks me what's the for sale for? I tell her the next thing that happens I'm selling it.

What do you do to your front ends? I buy right from detroit axle, forget amazon. I put DA stuff on my dodge, on my sons ranger,on a friends tacoma and on my ex cab daily driver. I have not had 10 seconds problem, I put almost 2 years on the dodge, it's coming close to what 8 months on the x cab ranger.

Maybe I just have good luck?

HOWEVER I'm re-considering with the newest project just because I might end up doing some 4 wheeling and abusing it a little more with a V8. Not because of a bad experience I just think I might be lucky so far and 3 people I chat with have had bad experiences with DA.

First off I think when you call DA you probably get the better stuff they have and their e-bay/Amazon high volume stuff might be a different lot.

That's what I was thinking to. 10 months ago I bought a kit from Amazon bearings ball joints uppers and lowers sway bar bushings tie rod ends I think I gave like 250-280 for the whole kit. I have a friend of mine that also bought directly from DA 3 years ago and his front end feels tighter then what mine did when it was new. So you might be right on that Jim. But I'm going back to Moog pay a lot more but I think it's a better part. It's just like tires and women you get what you pay for

You have good luck, they are hit or miss

I have installed MANY detroit axle wheel bearings.
I will NEVER buy another cheap wheel bearing ($40 each! CHEAP!!)

Many of the trucks I installed these onto came back within months needing new bearings. Im talking 8-12 trucks here that's 16-24 bearings with 75% or better going bad in WEEKS
I eat the labor costs on these for my customers, what a PITA

Its a simple fact you get what you pay for.
I will only install Timken or Spicer or Ford now.

Im no fan of Moog either, however I understand they have again stepped up their game. In the early 2000's MOOG parts went to CRAP!

OEM for my trucks, OEM or better ONLY

Well the old bitch is like new again. Even fixed the abs light that has been on. Now I'm back to enjoying driving it again. Tight quiet smooth. It's like a new truck

Nothing like the feel of tight suspension and associated equipment to make a vehicle feel good.

Those wheels look great on there. The 19mm offset is much better than wheel spacers.

Its just an opinion but I dont think ranger step beds are as cool looking as the mazda or stx bed. I like the standard bed on your truck over the step. If you were to change it I'd look for a mazda. Or you could show us how to put a long bed on a extended cab. That would be a little less common if you're going for something unique. Your truck is sweet looking no matter what you decide.

My truck isnt getting the long bed. I'm looking for a truck to make the bed. I have the frame and the bed just need the truck
