The Dome Light, if I am not mistaken, is a negative switching, so when the door is opened for example, the switch on the door opens a path to ground.

That is probably a reason for the power at the dome light !

What radio are you working on ?

The radio turned out nice, did I post a before shot? This is after. His bezel had a gnawed hole un filled where he attempted to put something in it.

Found the before shot. A no brainer, definite improvement.

Yup, BETTER !

I went around with my Bezel a few different looks, just the Cig Lighter, One like yours and no holes.

I have to move my 4X Switch and the Power Ports to another location but I think the simple No-Hole Look is interesting.
I got the Bezel from Buggman, he had modified it for the DD Radio, I didn't have to worry about that.

I just want it to be worth what I might be trading it for. Right now it is a pile of incomplete horse dung.

The condition we sell things in reflect on our personal ethics. So far nobody can question mine. I might have to keep it for a while working on the green one.

Not sure if I should have pm'd this question instead of your build thread. Sorry.

You kenwood looks nice in there. Does ford make a navigation or backup cam that would fit there?

Most 2din units have a camera input. I have one for my green truck but have not installed it yet (the camera part). The kenwood has an input also, there is a wire that goes to the reverse lights to trigger the camera function.

What sucks is this one turned out better than the one in my daily driver! Makes me want to do it over...

I have a few things I want to do to it. Exhaust hanger rotted off muffler twisting pipe, backup camera install, tailgate ajar light, might do the speakers and the amp. Just don't want to have to drive it during this. Might do grab handles and swap steering wheel with whitey.

If whitey works out I'll drive that this winter put the green one on blocks and have those wheels re finished by wheel medic here in town. They are awesome.

Bezel looks nice, did you fill the hole and re coat it? With what did you coat it? What do you guys do about the factory rubber coating stuff?
I have never refinished a bezel I just swap them out! LOL

Thanks!

I swapped it out, I have several variations I've been saving through the years.

That factory rubber coating is a PITA IMO.

I have left the tailgate open several times, can't see it due to tonneau cover. Just putting a mercury switch in (well not mercury but you get it).

I have another shift knob that has a real cobra head in side just like Mr Cobrae's and it glows in the dark that will look good on there.

We could do them any visit Adam, I kinda have the removal process right down LOL. I did the turn signals also.

Don I don't know about putting a cobra head shift knob on a 4 cyl, seems a little like false advertising :)

Might be, I have so many just don't know. I have a set from him for my green truck still have to install.

Anything would have been brighter than what was in there, looked real sad.

I just enlarged a pic of my interior and screen shot it. Mine are green too when lit. Is yours  white faced. I didnt realise their were so many different gauge clusters. Like your dome light, it sure would be nice to compile screen shots of all the variations of interiors for rangers and explorers and have a data base for year and model. I know that's a big job that's why I'm not volunteering. That, and the salvage yards by me usually only have a couple of rangers at a time and they get cannibalized real quick.

Well Redrum drove away today, his new owner wants his son to have it when he turns 16, it all worked out well. I miss it already but you can't keep them all...
