Most doors are also not solid core - my friend measured it, so somehow he has an 8ft solid core door...

You all are farther along than I. I rebuilt the attached garage last summer. New windows n doors and cabinets

As you can see I need more storage still.

This winter I remodeled the rec room into a much needed theater/gaming room for ME!
Added a garden window in the kitchen because I deleted the window in the rec room.
This spring I replaced the rest of the aluminum single pain windows and cedar siding with new vinyl windows and hardie plank cedar mill.
The yard was neglected during these upgrades. Lol.

Just finished all the sheetrock and sills inside, textured, painted, and hung curtains. The exterior is caulked and ready for paint this weekend!!!

This coming year is all about my truck. Then I'll get to building a workshop/2nd garage for my truck
Paid for it all as I did it so the only thing upside down is this pic. Lol

After a personal meltdown over the color last saturday.  I was able to pull my self together Sunday morning and decided, it's either going to be an expensive primer coat or I'll learn to live with it. It can be painted another color in the spring if I cant stand it. Had the body of the house done by Monday evening.  Phew. I'll have the trim painted by this weekend. I still need new gutters n downspouts, but I need a break. Never imagined there would be so much caulking. Ugh....I'll post pics once it's all done. Please be gentle.  Lol.

Finally finished and not a moment too soon! Rain moved it the very next day. Thank you for allowing me to temporarily hijack this thread.
Yes, its purple!!! The yard and gardens WERE neglected to get done before winter.
This has been a long remodel, being I did nearly all of it myself. Im glad to be finished. More needs to be done but this is a good stopping point. I was burning out. Now I can put all my attention to upgrading my ranger!!

Now to get back on the topic. Here is my attached garage. Itll be nice to put the power tools away and use this space for truck stuff!!

Thank you. I think we've been added to the senior walk and gawk. Lol. One neighbor said its drastic but liked it. Another neighbor said it might make our local paper. I just wasnt gonna lose all that painting time over labor day weekend and shell out another $300 for another color. I'll be picking up any paint in the future. Lol. For now I'll live with it.

Before I started messing with the tint it was PURPLE, PURPLE. I had home crepo add as much black as they could to darken it. That made it royal blue. Then I got a gallon of primer and a pint of red tint. After al the mixing I was ready to let it dry and throw it out but I changed my mind after I thought about spending another $300 and wasting a 3 day weekend. I'm over it. Lol. Not spending another dime on the house till I'm done pimpin the ranger.

So you started with purple, messed with it to get it another colour, ended up getting it back to purple again?

Messing with the tint there was a high probability of ending up with pink or brown. But yes ultimately I ended back at a different shade of purple but nonetheless a purple. I would need to add more paint if I wanted to add more tint. As it was I was pushing it. If you add too much tint the paint wont set up. Thanks for pointing that out. Lol

PURPLE... wow !

Not my choice of color but if you like it that is really all that matters.

Trim PINK OR BROWN, my granddaughter would love the house color if the trim was pink... !

I'm thinking a medium gray for the trim !

What color was it ?

OK so now the Shop...  got all but three shop lights installed, the 4200K LEDs are not as bright as I had hoped...  the good thing is I purchased them from Costco, I can return them for full refund !  Gotta Luv Costco !

The air system is complete, six drops with air outlets, and additional one near the Drill Press and can be hooked up to add air for drilling when needed; and one more drop near the Welding Table/Plasma Cutting area... just for cutting.

Welder/Plasma Cutter Electrical Outlet in place... great !

All I need is three more 120 volt outlet inside, two outside, and the three additional Automatic Lights for the outside and I could have been done but just recently rebuild two older Tools,  a 14" Delta Bandsaw and that is not running 220 VDC, variable, and a Craftsman 1" Belt Grinder.   The belt grinder had an 8" Dic on the side but that is gone and instead of the 1/3 HP, 120 VAC Motor, she now runs a 220 VAC 3/4 HP Motor... it should tear up some metal.

Pictures soon, just need to clean up things a little more.

Air done, Electrical almost done, Ranger going inside to check out the ABS Electrical Connections... I have one rear tire locking up early.
Forge is coated with a coating of UV Reflective Material... letting it dry for a few days, maybe four or five, then I can test for leaks with 50 lb. of air before running Propane to it !

It's called proper purple, and the trim is called so shy. Lol. Had a hard time even typing those names. Lol. Trim is a light light lavender???

Sold the motorhome yesterday!!! First time I've seen that side of the driveway in years. Finally can take a clean picture.

I   love the purple

I have a HUGE shop now.... but its a total disaster LOL
Have only been in Idaho for 10 months now, its finally coming along. I am building a huge carport (18' x 32')
Carport is where I store all of the drivetrains and parts we stock as well as well as provide lots of covered parking
Once carport is done and full of shelves then I can clean up the shop.
I have managed to get two bays working, (third bay full of drivetrains) a few toolboxes in place, and pegboard hung up. I am watching craigslist for upper cabinets too.

When the snow starts flying and I am indoors working I will get things organized and cleaned up and enter my space into this thread :)
Half the reason we bought this place is the size of the "garage"
Its a large 3 bays, 2ea 8' doors and one 10'? door. Shop is like 32' deep, 14' ceilings, and I'm guessing 40'' wide? I'll measure someday.

My first garage was one bay, second was a small two car, third was a small 3 car and now I have a LARGE 3 bay
I love garage talk :)

Shop is 100% OFF GRID, I finally have a bathroom!! Windows, high ceiling, and wood stove all included.
I have big plans for this place

A big Garage or Barn is good, mine is larger than my last and probably my last, too much work setting up and tearing out and moving and redoing !

My first was a single car garage my friends and I built but in 72, had a great time doing it, had some great parties in and around it but 16 x 24 was just too small, added a workshop on the side, 16 x 24 x 2 stories and it worked until I build an attached house that used the work shop and second story as part of the house. Build the 28 x 28 Barn in Gloucester, now the Barn in SoCal, 32 x 36, good size but as always more is better.

As stated before this one is almost completed, a little more wiring and I should be good to go.

Thanks, i had considered getting kit/pre-built, and also frames like that, however, it's a lot of money for something i can build myself (just gotta pull my finger out and get on with it)

I'm planning i think an 8ft bench with lower shelf, a friend has a solid core door i'm going to use as the top.

MaDMaXX,

Did you ever get your bench built ?

Oh Jeez, no, i kept forgetting the door and had a few set-backs beginning this year.

Ended up finding someone a friend knows who was getting rid of a solid core door and two end legs for free. Grabbed that but it needs a little work on the attachment and i have to add cross braces.
It'll be a while :(
