Lets see them. I know being car guys we all take some pride in where our cars rest at night. Be it some shop swag. Be it in the some cool old tools. Or maybe just how clean you keep it. So lets show them off!

Here's mine. Its 32x40. 15 foot ceilings. The doors are 10x12. I am currently working on re-insulating the loft and swapping all the flourescent t12's over to LED's. After that I have a forced air gas furnace in the loft to install to heat it, and then finish the dry wall. Eventually a lift is going on, but that's a ways down the road. Everytime I have the extra 4-5k for the lift I want, something on the house needs money(new deck, new roof, its always something)

I have another garage attached the house I won't post here lol. Its about 900 sq feet, but the wifes truck and car are parked in it along with a dog kennel and all my yard tools.

Here is picture of the outside of the new Barn (Shop), and as it turns out I only have outside pictures and Construction Pictures so you get the an outside pic.

The Shop is 32 x 36, with 14' walls and a 7' peak, tried to match the peak on the Cape Cod House we live in but didn't get that high.

So far I have 2/3's of the electrical done, I can use the drill press, the compressor is wired but not plumbed, and the Welder /Plasma has the wiring run to the location but not hooked up.
Still a ways to go to get full use but it is getting there.

As Dusten has stated, the House take a lot of time and effort that takes away from working on the Shop ! Nice Shop Dusten, is that a 90's Pickup, and what is under the cover ?

The 90s truck is my gen 1 lightning. My only car that doesn't run. Trans died a while ago New trans is in the floor next to it. I'm also doing an egr delete and smog pump delete. I boogered a threaded hole on the intake so it needs to go to a machine shop for repairs.
Its mostly stock. Lowered a little, gen 2 lightning wheels. Exhaust. That's it. It was my dad's. My youngest loves it, so when he's 13 we'll do a mechanical restoration of it, and he can drive it when he's sixteen.
The covered car is my 68. I've posted about it here.
I love the look of the barn. My shops pretty plain pin the outside

The look is from New England Lobsta Shacks, I wanted something to match the House, somewhat, but also wanted the look of a backyard shack, a bigger backyard building.

As I get closer to finishing the wiring and getting lights and receptacles in place it is becoming more of a shop and it feels good to get back to the shop to do little things. (Ranger Mods on the up-swing !
As I unpack the container that WAS in the Yard but is now in the shop, I discover all kids of new (OLD) stuff. Feels good to just get it out there again !

Your Shop looks good, inside and out, and the windows, yes I need windows. I have six roof panels that are translucent and they let in a lot of light but WINDOWS... yes I need windows.

OK on the Vehicles, I do like the "Lightening" !

All I have is a 20x20 on the house with two show cars inside. I wish I had that kind of work space to replace NoPowers engine. And that bench press to replace the bushings on the control arms on the Elky.

At least you have a place to park them inside.
A lot of what I have came are great expense.
My father owned a machine shop when I was young, and then for the last twenty years of his life was a dealer tech for gm. So all my stuff, the tools, tool box, press, welder, even some of my cars I got from him.

I don't have anything at this house i would post, but my next one will at least have a much nicer fitted garage.

LED light upgrades are very reasonably priced and give exceptional working light, i love mine, just got to fit the last one up.

All of this is a little harder to do when you started at zero again after moving countries :(

Lighting in the shop is handled by 4' LED Work Lights from Costco.
3700 Lumens each, 5500K light temp, on the white side.

I had Florescent Work lights in MA and they weren't as bright as these LEDs.

I hung 10 LED Lights in a 36 x 22 foot work area with an additional two above the bench, and the 10 x 36 section has another five in the work area and two over the bench.
Overkill, maybe, but it is bright n the shop with all of them on !

Ya, I have 12 fixtures total, with 2 bulbs each.
These leds are 2100 lumens each and 4000k I've never thought my shop wasn't bright enough, and with the added light the LED's are bringing I think i'll be fine. I do agree though, can't have enough light. I may install a few of the costco setups in my loft.

I feel your pain. I started out with a 1 car garage in my apartment complex, moved to a two car. Then a 3 car in suburbia. I've now upgrade and have about 2200 total feet of shop floor space and another 1300 feet of loft storage. It all just takes time.
I got paranoid about my windows recently after my neighbors had their cars gone through, so I added blinds.

Actually I am very jealous. I have a 2 car garage/basement that has 24 years accumulation of stuff. Half the basement space is my workshop and the other half used to be a play room for the kids but has turned into storage since are now grown and have moved out.

Actually the light Temp is 4200K, I ws moving the boxes around and noticed I was off a little !

I have a one car garage that I keep the 69 Mustang in that I am restoring. Unfortunately the Mustang has to share the space with my tools,compressor, work bench, freezer, furnace, water heater, table saw & band saw, so there is not much room to spare. I do have a two car driveway where I do 90% of the work on the Mustang & our 3 trucks. The roof of the Mustang is barely visible in the pic.

I finally got started on the Air Delivery System in the Shop.
Checked out my supply of fittings, Maxline Tubing, and figured out where everything will go... FIT !

Started the Drop Lines and Compressor Filter/Regulator, and Outlet..., makes the install faster to have all of the Drops ready to go when you run the main line.

Four Projects going at once, seems to be the standard Retirement TO-DO !

Shop is coming along slowly but takes the back seat with the house and backyard to keep me busy !

Im trying to work out if i knew i was going to move house when i posted in this thread.... I ended up moving to a place with a great 3 car garage - plan had been to put down an epoxy coating on the floor before i moved in, but timing and needing to repair cracks in the floor meant it never happened. Dang place is full now, its gonna be hard to move things out in the spring when the weather and timing next make it possible to paint the floor. First job though, ive been without a work bench for over 8 years now, im not happy. Gotta try and build one.

Maxx, this might help for building a work bench, buy metal legs & get a butcher block top. I have a work bench with a butcher block top for about 30 years.

Thanks, i had considered getting kit/pre-built, and also frames like that, however, it's a lot of money for something i can build myself (just gotta pull my finger out and get on with it)

I'm planning i think an 8ft bench with lower shelf, a friend has a solid core door i'm going to use as the top.

I repair and build all sorts of things at the work bench and use an old counter top. Glue, oil, grease, etc. wipe off very easily and with some solvent the top gets really clean.

Most doors are 6' 8", so you won't get 8' that way
