The first time, I only got half a pay check, I wasn't impacted financially on the second and now we got briefed yesterday that we wont get paid at all...but we're expected to go to work still. This ought to be fun.
When they do get around to paying you you will most likely get a lump sum.  This will hit you harder in the taxes that get taken out.
That is what happened in 1995-96 shutdown. I was doing a Southern Watch in Kuwait scheduled to return Dec 20, 1995 while in the Air National Guard. They also stopped all air transport so I was stuck in Kuwait with expired orders and I would not get amended orders until everything started up. To add further insult of getting back in time for Christmas we got no pay.
Even though the shutdown ended in early January it took till the end of the month to get the backlog straitened out with the relief replacements. It was another month after that when we got paid. We were no longer in a tax free status and got zapped with almost 2 months of pay in a lump sum with taxes taken out.
The 95-96 was when Republican Newt Gingrich played politics.

Well hopefully this gets situated soon. Once troops (like myself) can no longer afford to drive to base every day, that'll be a prime time for someone to hit the US.

Plain and simple.  Ford has a new 7 liter coming for the super duty in 2020.  My 6.7 does ok on fuel though

Holy crap, that 21 is probably better than my Ranger haha.

My shop truck truck is 2016 Ram, full 4-door with the 8' bed, 4wd and all. That 6.7 Cummins is a beast. I'll drag a 16' dual axle trailer with 5K pounds worth of gear in it and it'll throw you back in the seat once the turbo spools up a bit. I never thought much about cummins until I drove that thing. It was a replacement for an '08 F250 with the 6.4 in it. We don't get to pick em though, GSA government contracts.

I do love the Fords, though I haven't driven the 2017/18 F250. I'd go test drive one if I wasn't afraid of actually purchasing one.

So the 2020 Ranger with the diesel option will have a bigger engine than the Ram Eco Diesel does. 3.2 vs a 3.0. The Ram has 240HP/420 ft lbof torque though vs 197HP/340 Ft Lbs for the Ranger. The Ranger is showing 33mpg though, vs 29 for the Ram.

The us spec 3.2 makes less power than that. And Ford also has the new 3.0 diesel that makes 250/440

Just as a matter of interest, what are gas prices in the US these days?

We are paying £1.22 a litre  - equivalent to $6.50 a US gallon.... that's $140 to fill a 80 litre Ranger tank.

I filled up yesterday morning for $2.309 per gallon. I use a phone app called Gas Buddy so I can find the best gas price on my route to work.

I just checked Gas Buddy. Gas stayed the same as it was yesterday. Sadly, right across the bridge into Kentucky, gas is 15 cents cheaper.

Diesel has been slightly above 3 bucks around here. I don't have anything diesel, but I just happen to notice the price.

Diesel is in the 2.90s here depending on station. I think 92 is the same, but I haven't driven any of my rigs that need it in months.
