Wow, that's pricey !
How many feet  of gutter did it take  ?

I just had mine done, aluminum, about 150 feet of gutter and 10 down spouts, all white with 3" round down spouts, and the cost was just over the $1300 mark.
I was happy with that price, thinking it was going to be $3K or more.
Maybe I can take a Vaca with the extra.

Anyways, home improvements or just repairs are costing more and more all the time.

450' plus the leaf filters.  Gutters alone were 4300.

Wow, 450' of gutters... one BIG house !
Glad mine is a little house.

How many square feet is your house ?
Mine only 2500 sq feet.

The house is a shade under 3000, but its odd shaped with lots of gutters.

When we did the roof it took 61 squares to cover it.

Here's a sketch of it from the assessor

Here is a crappy google map view.  This is last summer when they were doing the roof.
You can see the way the two floors of the house are offset, that there is a ton of gutters.

Everytime i get a quote for something, i always hear, the cost is high because this is using 2-3 times the materials of a normal house.

Wish I'd researched better when i bought the house.  It is our first house, so i was a little green.  I love it, don't get me wrong.  Just expensive to up keep.

Google Earth from a while back shows the house and the relationship of the Barn off to the left , the attached Garage, and the FRONT PORCH... yes I like it !
Wine  too, sitting, talking, and the sunsets and Hot Air Balloons that go up !   I got lucky, God selected this place and we live here !

Here is a new shot, just after painting; this was taken a ways away but at least it is one color.

AND The New Barn, my Workshop, Carpentry Shop, Blacksmith Shop, and just about Every other Shop you can thing of !

REPLY:  My latest house is all straight lines, I too didn't look at Roof Lines when I purchased it but it made the gutter install a lot easier; three hours and they had it all done.   It happened so fast, I had to double take on the work just to make sure it was done the way I wanted.  I built a House back in Gloucester, MA, it had a few angle, never thought of it, will keep it in mind for the next one !

As I said, I lucked out this time around.

I liked my '88 STX, Short Bed, Std Cab, 5.0L, C4, 4x... and why not right !
That's the truck that got me into Rangers; I've always been a Ford Guy, I've owned a LOT of Mustangs, 1965 -1968 eras,  ('69s changed too much) and loved every minute of them, but for some reason when I sat in a Ranger I just knew this was the vehicle I wanted; kind of funny !  So ever since the first one, the '88, I had a '95 ; '98, and this '03... which is by far the best of the best in styling, interior room (for a standard Cab) and you can't beat a Steppie in any year Truck, Ford, Dodge, or Chebby !

This '03 just turned 90K Miles, 15 years old too, the underside is rusty (good old New England) but holding together... huh..., wondering if an early bronco frame would fit under a Short Bed Ranger... maybe with a little stretching ! Lol !

And the Wife drive a Honda CVT,  all wheel drive, nice enough, small and get 30+ mpg, and it was free thanks to VW and their Diesel Problems.  I find it hard to backup with it, minimal rear viewing without the backup camera... (can't get used to those things) !

Temp here is projected to be around the 58 degree mark.  60 tomorrow, and the back to the low 80s !

I like the Spring and Fall best, temps are where it is easy to work outside and get a days work done without stopping !

I don't mind it in the low 70s if there's a slight breeze and I'm not doing anything but for working weather I prefer 50s and 60s,even 40s if there's no wind. I like Spring and Fall to if it's not too warm.

Mid 50s today, mid 60s tomorrow.  Should be pleasant for the last bit of yard work I need to do.

Here's a good idea of why my house needed so much gutter work.  They are done.

Nice house, like the back Deck, party time for sur !

I can see the gutter thing, sssooo many angles, sssoo many short pieces of short gutter !

As I said mine is just 4 straight lines, two non the house and two non the attached garage, I think it was three or four hours and they were gone and the gutters were up.

To anyone in the southeast, Mustangs at The Mountain (MATM) is this weekend at Stone Mountain park, just north east of Atlanta. It's hosted by the Silver Mustang Registry but all colors are represented.

They've sold out all of the 320(?) show spots already and like last year I'm sure there will be more parked elsewhere. I've been up there a few times for it and its a pretty good show. There was even some Chevys last year.

Entry to the park was $10 a car load but the car show itself is free. There's also some state park and history stuff to do if you get bored with Mustangs.

I agree. But I walked around the Mustangs last year, then hiked the "mountain" and grabbed food, then back to the cars. It was nice weekend trip, about 5 hours from me.

Thanks for the heads up on the MATM. The wife is helping host a bridal shower tomorrow. I may jump on the Electra-Glide and buzz over there. It's about 14 miles as the crow flies and at least a 45 minute drive.

Good morning everyone, it is a gray overcast (like my mood today) 66° day today. It is supposed to get up to 74° today. I may not be around for a couple days since my Dad passed away yesterday at 94+ YO. I might go hide out in the garage for a few days.

It is supposed to get up to the low 80's with a chance of isolated thunder showers this afternoon. I am headed over to Stone Mountain to pay $10 to look/drool over some Mustangs...

Of the 320 registered Mustangs at least 300 of them were the plastic Mustangs (2005 & up). There were about 4 Fox body, no Mustang II's or 4th generation cars, about 4 of the longhood early 70's, and about a dozen of 60's Mustangs. The two that stood out to me was a yellow '71 convetable w/ a 351 and a Wimbledon White '66 Eleanor that had been converted into a 350R with a bored and stroked Boss 351.

There were some very tricked out 2005 and up Mustangs. A couple with the Lambo door mods and over the top interior/engine dress up. A lot with hydro-dipped air tubes, shock tower braces, and engine covers that were going after one theme or the other. There was also one where a V-10 had been shoehorned into the engine compartment. They did a good job as there was no evidence of the stretched fenders and hood.

A day pass has gone up since I was last at the park. It is now $15 but it was well worth the price.
