Every time I get a quote for something, i always hear, the cost is high because this is using 2-3 times the materials of a normal house.
Wish I'd researched better when i bought the house. It is our first house, so i was a little green. I love it, don't get me wrong. Just expensive to up keep.

REPLY: My latest house is all straight lines, I too didn't look at Roof Lines when I purchased it but it made the gutter install a lot easier; three hours and they had it all done. It happened so fast, I had to double take on the work just to make sure it was done the way I wanted. I built a House back in Gloucester, MA, it had a few angle, never thought of it, will keep it in mind for the next one !
As I said, I lucked out this time around.
