So i just dumped best part of a bottle into the headliner, some on the seats and back of jump seats. Guess we'll see how that goes - gonna have to really clean the windows now though :(

Fabreeze makes me choke, it feels like it melts my lungs.

For 2 weeks every day when I parked it at work I used one of those squatty cans of industrial air spray, the kind that mounts in the automatic dispensers in public rest rooms. It had a mild pleasant fruit smell.

I sprayed till it was misty in the cab then closed the door.

At the end of the 2 weeks the odor was gone.

I have used fabreeze on carpet areas but I seem to have some sort of reaction to it.
Tell me about it... My wife is a Fabreeze fanatic, Shes like that guy in that commercial that has two bottles of that stuff sraying the sofa, and if I lay down on it my face breaks out. I think I'm allergic. to it.:puke

And here's mine!!!

What dose it smell like. I hope not like me.

Package says Black Ice. Or maybe it was, Brown Ice. Either way, I gave mine the test yesterday and most of the odor is gone, therefore it's about time to hang it in the vehicle. Let the fun begin.

Just a faintish smell of Febreeze in the cab this morning, so we'll see how it is later this week (barely gets driven) and hopefully all smells dissipate :)

Take a cap off a plastic Coke bottle, stuff a cotton ball in the cap, soak the cotton ball with Hoppes #9 gun oil. Put it behind the seat.
It will give the aroma of a clean gun.

Yes.

So had to drive it into work today as i found a screw in my bike tyre right as i was leaving :(
Anyway, upon starting it up, the fan kicking on gave a fairly light scent of smoke for just a moment (i'm pretty sensitive to it) which is the first time i've ever smelled "just smoke" in the truck, it's always been another smell masking it.

The Febreeze is still the overall smell in there, well, not smell if you know what i mean, so it's been great since i did it, now it's obviously wearing off and what wasn't neutralised is able to begin to come through.

This is good, believe it or not, i have already used a neutraliser in the vents, a lot, particularly when i got the truck, but nothing has worked as well so far, ideally my vents should be good, but....

So, question, best place to introduce a deodoriser to the vents?  I'd guess the fan motor housing?

Autozone had some little Oziums too, however i have an air bomb as well as some pro level car deodoriser, but what i'd like extra input on, is where to 'inject it' into the system, rather than just hoping it circulates.

There might not be such a place, perhaps it is the fan blower, however i think setting the whole system to recirculate and letting it blow round inside the cab might be best here.

Was passing a local west side ice cream place that has been there as long as I can remember. I thought of this thread.

IMO, in the quest to mask odors they all produce one that smells that smells like s***, therefore I finally found one with the appropriate look. :rock
