I make most of my own..

I would like to start doing my own reloads; .40 Cal, 9mm, 5.56 and 3.08's. One day soon I guess when I build a proper shop for such detailed tasks and as I find another chunk of 25-40 acres of property on the way outskirts of town, I WILL build a proper shooting/training range into a section out back.

And one day, ONE DAY I'll build a Remington 700 in .300 WM just because I will likely never get my hands on a .50 BMG and I love the bolt action rifles.

Would someone be able to recommend a good gun belt that doesn't break the bank?

I've got a Remington leather belt from walmart, which has a reinforced area where my holster sits. Unfortunately, like my last belt, this one is stretching and I also have to cinch it up really tight to keep the holster tight against my body.

It would probably help if I didn't insist on carrying a full size .45 1911, but that's the pistol I love and am the most familiar with. As long as the belt is black, it should be fine.

Oh, here's a lower I colorfilled.

I got an alien gear steel reinforced belt. Alien gear is very reasonable priced. My EDC is a M&P 9C, couldn't stand the "shield". I'll post pics here in a few.

It's amazing how important belt stiffness matters (found that out the slow way)

But yeah, they're very expensive, i went with a double layered bull hide belt, but you're talking around $90 for that :(

I too would try the Aliengear synthetic belt for your purposes, it should work and i love their holsters.

(You really need something substantial for the weight of that dang 1911)
Nice colour fill btw, brings it out.

Thanks, way better than plain black.
If I didn't love 1911s as much as I do, I probably would have opted for something else. If it lasts a good while, I have no problem paying for it, otherwise I'm burning through normal belts at $20 a whack.

Yeah, never bother with a $20 belt, it's not going to work.

I think i'm two years into this belt so far, no issues, usual belt wear points, but still holds it tight to me.

The pistol gang:

This is the wife's 22C. Only a 22 but she has enough clips to do damage

And my pal & EDC... Mr. Smith 9C

I love lasers. I don't use it but I love the way they look. That ruger 22 has laser also, both CTC.

Look up the serial on that winchester model 12. I've never shot it, was dads before he passed.

Beautiful shotgun. Sorry to hear about your father though.

I took a look at the belt, and that seems to be what I'm going for, and for a good price. 60 bucks isn't bad at all.

My guess is that pistol has a similar story that a shotgun of my father's has.

My father's father had a 20 gauge break action (which was passed down after he passed). I recall being told that he bought it soley for use in the woods. He had a nice shotgun at the time, I think a Beretta, but it was so nice he couldn't justify taking it out where it would get marked up real quick. He sold it and bought the 20 gauge break action. What kind of condition it was in when he first obtained it, I don't know, but now it's far from perfect. Chipped/dented furniture, rusted/pitted metal. However, it's action still works nice and freely and its still plenty safe to shoot. The bore is nice and clean, however.

If it was an 870 or something you could buy parts for, I'd probably have it reblued and then install nice new wood furniture, brought back to it's former glory and all. However, it's very obscure.

Just went into my .docx where all the info on our guns is kept. It's a Savage Arms – Stevens Model 94 – Series M.

Im not much of a FOX, CNN, or any MSM news fan but

I thought this was an interesting vid to post; Particularly several reasons.

(a) Colion Noir is an awesome and respectable man, I follow and support him (pew-pew life)
(b) The political debate of course, and who could not want to debate Al Sharpton on Facts?
(c) The historical sense of things.

While doing research on "gun license" I found it interesting that when you boil things down to basics. The legal definition of a license is "Permission to do something that would otherwise be illegal" And even the word Legal/Illegal can have the contextual definition changed to suit the needs of any bureaucrat but Shortly after the Civil war, Think mid 1855-1865 time frame, despite all the clamoring about slavery, niether the North or the South really wanted the then "negro" folk to have guns really. The thought processes back then was we just took a couple million people out of chains, guns wasn't the first things they wanted to give them with their new found 13th amendment abolishing slavery or through the now privileges given to them by the 14th amendment as so called US Citizens.

In case you need a bit more on the whole US Citizen rhetoric..
You may want to read about the deeper aspects rooted in law.. No one has ever been a US citizen BY LAW of STATUTE.

but for the cliff notes version; In the same way, though we speak of "the United States" and merely mean the whole country, all the states together, the fact of the matter is that each one of our states is a separate nation unto itself. We derive our nationality from our states. We are Georgians and Vermonters and Oregonians for a reason.

The "United States" is a separate and foreign nation with respect to us, that has two forms of citizenship. If you are born in the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or one of the other Insular States or Territories, you can, at your option, claim to be a United States Citizen. If you are operating as a federal corporation franchise, a federal civilian or military employee, a welfare recipient, political asylum seeker, or happen to be African American, you are stuck with being classed as a "citizen of the United States" under the provisions of the 14th Amendment.

Anyway, to keep this short, when you look at real history through congressional records and not the typical public schools education indoctrinated version. You may have to fight to keep an open mind and learn a new opinion based upon updated and full disclosure information.. it can really upset the paradigms we all hold as normality.

I was browsing the Windham site when I noticed something peculiar.....

Those who are familiar with Windham Weaponry know that they make AR-15s, not AK platform rifles. We can also see different 7.62x39 caliber component sections, which is the AK's native caliber, however these listings are for their 7.62x39 line of ARs, again not AKs.

If you follow the link, you can see that there is one barrel for sale, on sale for around 60 dollars.

I put on my detective outfit and grabbed my magnifying glass to look around the site, but it appears that no other mention of AKs were made. With no other information, I decided to email them and ask them if this hinted at or implied the future production of Windham brand AKs. I'll let you all know when I hear back, but I know this much already. If this is true, sign me up for one!

Well, it appears that Windham is not making AKs. (sad face)

They were contracted to make barrels for another company. That company went bankrupt, so now they're selling them off to recoup some losses.
