Also, putting pics in through a drag and drop method in the body of a post/thread used to allow you to drag a corner of a pic and shrink it down. It no longer does that and after several attempts I just abandoned the post. The pics I shrink down scale back up to ridiculous size due to the Hi-Rez photo files being so large.

Any workaround in this other than going old school and DL/UL new pic files, manipulating the files to a specific size, from one platform or media to another?

Yes - see the new editor - you can now insert from external source and resize on the insert.

For what it is worth, the new editor is nice, Chris is adding things to it as time goes on and it is far easier to use for longer post... which helps me !

Good work Chris,

Something's going on with the Private Messages. In the lower right hand corner it says this "Please use the new posting buttons on the right of the top menu bar.

Hover over the buttons for a tip on their use." and the only "post" button I see says "post" not "new post" and pushing the "post" button doesn't do a thing.

Update: When I switched the Forum Editor back to  "Ranger" instead of "Rangernew",it worked. It's not even letting me post now with the new Editor,is it turned off now?

No - it seems to be working just fine - it the buttons that are new , not the post!

post and preview buttons are working in the rangernew template.

It must be a problem with it and my browser then. It was working fine up until today, for some reason it's not now though. I'll see what I can figure out.

Quick question - where do you set the time zone in your profile? I must be blind.

It seems to be working just fine now. It was off earlier (or at least I thought it was - now I'm questioning my sanity).

I dont think you are the only ranger hoarder here. Lol.

You guys should get together and start a warehouse. Seriously. Blackxlt could let you know when they drag them in, you guys strip them down. We could send you our wish lists and you guys notify us when you got it. That would be slick. Ranger parts hunters!!! I think that's a great suggestion.  Lol

I only have one now, but it's the sixth in a line of Rangers, Bronco II's, and Explorers that I've owned since 1997.

I've thought about doing a forum store, something a little more complex than the for sale section.

There is software for that made by the photopost group, I forgot the name of it but it was like an e-bay style where you could buy it now or set up an auction with an end time (like our polls here :) ).

The software ended up with too many security holes and I don't think it is available.

I approached the photopost developer and we actually did an integration routine where the member base from the forum automatically transferred to the photopost software. Those were the days.

Chris is going "pfffft that is easy" lol.

When you get a few spare moments start a thread and tell us a bit about the V8 build. I'm sure you have probably posted a build thread before but I kinda want to hear as much as you care to share about the tough spots, stumbling blocks, things that cost like 10 times what you thought... :)

You too! Did I get my members mixed up? Sorry LOL. Doesn't he have one too? :hammer

Anyway a good portion the reason for this forum is the love of alterations. V8 ranger is the ULTIMATE alteration IMO and I would love to hear every detail people want to share.

He may also - I'm not around often enough to know a lot of the users.
I'll try to throw together some of my thoughts in a coherent ramble.

I may have to argue with you on this one Jim. The ultimate alteration would be a Mexican crew cab ranger with a 7' bed narrowed dana 60 axles and a mildly built and tuned Cummins 4bt with 6 speed manual. Small lift maybe 35" tires bit definitely nothing smaller then a 33" tire o and an 06-2011 front clip and mirrors. That would be the holygrail of rangers

I agree those mexican crew cabs are killer. That would be so cool.
