I've been getting bored with my 06 here lately. I've done many mods to it like pretty much all the expo mods mustang rear brakes all the basic engine bolt ons like headers underdrive pulleys etc. I'm happy with the truck. Just wanting something new to do to it. Ideas????

I'll bring my ex cab to you, you can see if I need a head gasket or a new motor :)

Maybe limited slip rear end, expo based? Custom front bumper with a winch? Custom rear bumper with provisions for blinding reverse lights? You could attempt to make the OHC work right.... (runs)

Bring it down... The ohc does need fixed. I've been seriously debating on a solid axle swap. I'm now waiting on my headliner to come back. Sent one out to get recovered along with a set of seats.

All of the above AND V-8 Swap ?
Yes the Supercharger would be nice BUT there is nothing like the sound of a 5.0L W Engine.
Also, when I did my 5.0L in the '88 STX 4x, I got better gas milage, then you can install a Turbo !

That is a nice yellow. I am going to paint my 69 Mustang a yellow close to that from a 2001 Ranger called chrome yellow.

wifes FJ cruiser was yellow, only two choices in 07 were blue or yellow. The blue one was a TRD and we wanted to do our own gears and lockers so we got the base model in yellow. She has owned several yellow cars (into hot rods) and was over it, I told her when she paid it off I would change the color.... All I know is thank goodness for Monstaliner! Instead of a $13000 paint job I got it done for $350 :)

I love the black but its run its course. It's due for a new paint job 14 years of everyday abuse is starting to take its toll. Old truck just doesnt clean up like it used to

What condition is the Black Paint in ?

Maybe... just add another color, make it two tone !  I center panel with red pin strip separation. (Old School)

I had a Light Blue GMC S-15, wanted it a little different, added a center panel, based on truck line in a Dark Blue, (everyone to their own), to me it looked better than I expected !

Red/Black looks goos too.

A Lady friend of mine, painted her Black Ranger with a red center panel, I likedit, AND then she did the the roof, different but not me, overall the truck looked decent with the center side panels, set it off from the others.

I also saw a 1st Gnen Ranger, it was Tan with a dark brown center panels, sort of Bronco II, everyone has a different idea for their truck.

Where are you in the color thing ?

Thx / Ltr

Opinions on dying interior parts? Long term looks. Is it worth the time in the long run

dye holds up very well
Some of the oaints do also
My dash is red, but it has been primered prepped for vinyl paint and painted with mocha colored vinyl paint....that was about 10 years ago it has held up just fine
I dye snowmobile and atv parts all the time, use RIT Dye MADE FOR PLASTICS and boil the plastic parts, old fuel tanks that are faded come out looking like new! Cannot color change unless it is to black, but the dye does work great on SOME plastic parts.

The fabric and vinyl dyes and paints do work very well these days but as usual it is all about the prep work and using the appropriate adhesion promoter

I want to go black on the interior. What product do you recommend and what would work best for the headliner

Just some verbal diarrhea...

The easiest way is to locate an FX4 Level II and get the interior, I don't think the Off-Road has the black interior... not sure on that !
There is a paint, SEMs, that matches the OEM Colors and is made for Plastic too; I like that SEMs Paint but my usual  Duple-Color for both Paint and Primer.

The important things to me in painting anything...1)  Cleaning the part, 2) Use an Adhesion Promotor Primer, 3) Use a high quality Paint.

Duplicolor has one called Perfect Match, and SEM Paint has always been good.
I like to use the same manufacturer for all the paint  product but the manufacturer's suggestions work too.

The painting of plastic parts is not a big problem, it is the process you use to achieve the end results you want that takes the time.

Dying Cloth... I have never done it and don't think I want to so I would buy some new seat covers !

Ltr

My car has a vinyl wrapped roof. It is an inexpensive way to quickly improve the look of a faded paint job but if your truck is outdoors most of the year the vinyl wont like it.
