A few months ago I bought a 2wd 95 splash with having the idea of building it. I want to build it but i want something that no one else in the ranger world has. I thought about building a turbo 2.3 dropping a 5.0 or a mod motor but all of that has been done. Now I'm going to steer you of the topic. The past few years I ve been helping my dad build a 31 model a. The car is going to be a period correct street rod. And this build has got the gears turning of a unique build for my splash. Some of you may know where I'm going with this. The step side bed is really what led me in this direction. Ok so here is my idea. A modern ranger with a flat head v8. When them little engines are built right you can make some decent power. Offenhauser heads 3 webber's stroked a little for more cubes light weight assembly for higher rpms.

I like where you're going. Majority are modding for updates and conveniences. Check this out. I think the post is the precursor to the video but I didnt read threw it much other than to see it mentioned rangers and flathead. Had to search up rodded rangers cause you made me curious.

You'll have lots of room in the engine bay.  Get a clear, see through hood...flatheads need to be seen.

Speaking of a 31 Model A hot rod....

Sounds like that would be awesome. That would be sooooo cool to pop the hood & see the flathead under the hood of the Ranger.

That's what I was getting at and not to mention the fact that nobody has one. I've always been intrigued by the flathead v8 and just the looks of the engine itself is cool
