Well I learned my lesson,  my fine Detroit axle bearings seem to be crunching and complaining. It would have been better if I had left the originals in there. I just replaced them because I was "in there".

Sooo I want something that will last more than the less than 2 years the DA brand did. Like 22,000 miles later the entire front end is toast again.

Pros, is there anything that will last the next 100,000 miles?

Dang sorry to hear
I learned that same lesson, the hard way.........cost me many hours fixing bad "new" bearings for my customers.
I fell for the Detroit axle thing too
Truth is you get what you pay for!

It is a fine line we walk, trying to spend $$$ wisely

Timken are good
Raebestos is good
Motorcraft is good
They should all last 100K miles+ with proper alignment

Others are not so good

So at best I'm looking at $150 a side for quality bearings.

Still less than a month car payment thanks guys.

I noticed Moog is really going down hill quickly in ratings.

Moog went south like 15 years ago I quit running their ball joints and tie rods many many years ago after the moog replacements were lasting ONE SEASON

I have been on the search for better aftermarket parts ever since.....

Everyone is going CHINA for their parts, WTF... !
Moog going south, that was one name brand you could count on, where to now !
Yes on the Timkin's Bearings, I always ask for them when buying rebuilding kit, and there is always and option for them... just ask ! Most companies would rather sell you there other brand of bearings, why, most learn you will need to buy again real soon.

Sorry to hear of your plight Jamman, as said above, "You get what you pay for" and in curtain area of the truck, there is no reason not to buy the best".
