 Passenger side door was not fully closed. I reach across open the door and pull it shut pulling the pull panel off leaving the mounting screws still in the door.  I have power windows and door lock. Anybody have one laying around that will fit a 2004?

I was able to snap it back in but it pulls off easily. I thought about epoxying it but I would rather have a good part instead of a redneck engineer fix.

I could also use a grill - it was redneck engineer fixed when I hit some quail a while back.

 No Pick N Pull yards near you?  I had a spare pair, but gave them to my son (ArcticWolf1911) for his project.  He replaced his rusting doors with good ones with full power sans door panels.

 The Pick n Pull has an entry fee and their is rarely a Ranger on the grounds. The other auto graveyards charge premium.

 I got it for just under $30 shipped.


This Coved-19 downtime has me fixing things that need it and things that the wife deems necessary.  I have a set of Iridium plugs headed my way as the copper plugs will hit 30k within 400 miles. Tires and possibly brakes after that.

 Awesome!  Sounds like you're taking advantage of the COVID-19 situation and making the best of it!  Personally, I've got a ton of yard work to do and plenty of home maintenance that needs to be done, so that will be my life for the next several weekends.

 I retired 6 years ago at 53. I got bored and got bamboozled into driving a school bus - 30 hour work week and great benefits last year.  It has worked out to where I was working 45 hours a week this year but I have great high school and middle school students. My manager likes my work ethic and gives me extra tasks. The elementary students are little $h!ts. Since the Kung Flu hit to maintain Title 1 free lunches  for the county I am delivering free lunches to the one school in my district that qualifies for free lunch. It takes about 2 hours but the board office wants to ensure all bus drivers return next year instead of opting to drive a dump truck so they are paying us 35 hour a week while we are working 2 hours a day for 5 days a week. I am back to what I was making per hour  when I retired, too bad I am only working 10 hours a week.

What really makes it worth it is that I was in my local grocery store last week when one of my seniors approached me and told me she had been accepted at Purdue but she was going to the University of Georgia instead and she was glad she was able to tell me where she was going to college. She told me my pep talks and encouragement to excel in school was additional motivation in school for her senior year. The pay is crap but the emotional payback is priceless.

 Purdue is a great school; I have several co-workers who went there (including my boss).  Really depends what curriculum you are going for to pick the "right" school.  It's good you could encourage and inspire her to go for the brass ring!  It really doesn't take a lot of effort to make a positive impact on young people... it's more about how you approach it.  Obviously, you made a lasting impression on her, so kudos to you! :-)

 I received the door piece. It came with switches, added plus. If it was in a truck it was well pampered. A simple tug on mine popped it off. I popped the switches out of the old one to get both releases. After removing the old hold down screws I realized I could have gotten away with washers. I snapped on the switch plugs and tested them then popped it back in place an tightened the two screws. Less than five minutes. 

The only issue it is a nice dark black. The driver side is a faded black...

 Good deal!  Yeah, the auction pic showed it with the switches and it really did look pampered.  You may be able to darken the other one with a heat gun.  I've used that method a couple of times on faded black plastic and it seems to work.  Just have to be sure to not over-do it. Use the broken one to practice on?
